A little warning:
This is gonna be very suggestive.
I dunno how it happened. But it did. And now you have to suffer through whatever this is.
Just in case, I would rate this story as mature.
All in all, Merlin and Arthur basically do the naughties, without doing the naughties. You'll understand once you've read it.
It's basically a story concept. If you want to use it, you can. Anyway, good luck with that.------------------------------------------------------------------
Vampires.
Vampires were evil creatures of darkness that had roamed the earth for hundreds of years. Maybe thousands. Little was known about how they came to pass or how they fared their lives.
Even less was public knowledge. What they knew was limited to. "They would kill anyone in their paths just to get human blood."
This was a half truth.
Any other information was completely ignored by Uther Pendragon. And people were punished for the simple resemblance of vampire work. And when there is little you know about a creature and even more to fear, then of course, Vampires were treated as the most evil creatures you could imagine.
Those blood thirsty monsters had to be killed. Be it by wooden flocks to the heart or the pyre was of no matter.
Identifying vampires was difficult. Because vampires looked like humans, behaved like humans, talked like humans.
And because it was so difficult to differentiate between humans and vampires, an accusation was fatal for anyone who it may befall to.Sorcerer's? Yeah no. They don't exist in this universe.
However, Vampires have similar abilities. Such as shape shifting, levitation, super strength and increased eye sight. Their hearing and other senses in general were enhanced. They were also incredibly immune to viruses and other illnesses. And their healing abilities worked tight with the amount of blood they drank. (Meaning, they could increase their self healing abilities by simply drinking more blood.)
Those positive effects, however, cost a huge price. Vampires were sensitive to noises and bright lights. They were allergic to sunlight and for some reason garlic and strong spices. Even if that didn't mean they'd crumble and turn to dust by exposure to such material. That was an exaggeration of fairy tale caliber and not even the king believed in such nonsense.
Worst of all, however, they suffered from an intense and constant feeling of hunger. Or rather – thirst.
They needed blood like humans needed water. Maybe not as much, but it was equally necessary.
What they would do if they didn't get it? The same you would, if you were forced to hunger for several days or weeks.
They go insane. They go mad. They commit murder. They might even turn on their own families and/or engage in cannibalism.
Whatever was needed for them to survive. They loose control over themselves.
The more recent they were turned into a vampire, the more difficult it was, since they had no idea what their body needed. Sometimes they wouldn't even know what had changed.
And it takes a lot of effort to learn how to control one self.At that part, it should be said, that there are groups who simply do not care about humanity as more than a food source. And they are mainly at fault for their decimation.
The last question, however, is a rather private one. How do Vampire's reproduce? Neither male nor female Vampires have the physical capacity to make babies, as their organs change most of their functions.
Child Vampires were therefore extremely rare. They couldn't age and creating them hinted at some form of abuse in most cases. Or at the very least, a certain carelessness of their parents.
