~Chapter 48: The Big Search~

"Everyone ready with their devices?" Candy Giver asked the group. Everyone nodded. Cameras? Check. Recording devices? Check. GPS tracker? Check. What was everyone doing, you may ask? 

They were getting ready. Ready to go find those bastards and Amy. Luna and Erin also wanted to confront Erin's mother once they found them. 

"So everyone knows where they will be posted?" Everyone nodded. Jack however, was visibly nervous. "Something bothering ya?" Clockwork asked.

The clown sighed. "I.....I don't want to leave Jacklynn and Noah alone.....What if someone takes them??" Luna visibly sighed. Ever since the twins were born, Jack was very protective of them. After all, they were his babies! His and Amy's! If anyone DARED to hurt them or pick on them.....well..... let's not talk about it.

"We can leave them with my family." Jack snorted. "And how can I trust William not to hurt them?" Luna sighed. "My mother still exists." That shut the clown up. "....Fine. I'm counting on your mother, mom." Luna smiled. She knew her son could always count on her and his other mothers. 

"Who will drop them off?" "I will." Jeff stated. "Or as a matter of fact, WE will." He added, his glare now fixated on Luna. Well, shit. Looks like she can't avoid confrontation now. "Fine....."  She muttered. Slowly, the pair went off to retrieve the twins. Jack felt relieved that his babies would be safe. He didn't want them to get caught up in this mess. 

Erin was confused. What was up with Jeff's tone? Well, let's leave it be for now.

After all, tonight could be a big night.....

"Erin, to the city, right?" "Yes." "Hmm, LJ, in the woods." What was happening? Well, everyone was splitting up into different parts of the city to widen their search. However, some protested they didn't want to go alone (Erin and Luna for example.) So, some of them went in pairs. Erin and Liu went together, Jane and Clockwork also did, Luna and Jeff, and finally LJ went with Jason. The others split up. Jack just wanted his wife and daughter. He felt like he was back in that God forsaken box, losing his sanity all over again. He was surprised he kept it together so far. 

Let's hope he can for some more time.

LJ and Jason were sent to explore the forest, Luna and Jeff were sent to the alley where she and Erin had bumped into them, Erin and Liu went to the city and the others went to explore other areas. Jason noticed that the clown was.....acting odd. As in, odd for an odd person way. "Jack, are you alright?" The clown looked at him and Jason could tell that he was NOT okay. His left eye was twitching rapidly and his fists were curling and uncurling. He was going to snap. Thankfully, Jason had a syringe on him if he needed to use it. "Easy LJ......calm down." The toymaker advised, preparing to grab the syringe if needed. He didn't want the clown attacking him if he snapped. That won't be pretty. 

LJ took in a deep breath before finally looking up at Jason. "I-I am calm." The toymaker sighed before putting the syringe away. "Good to hear that pal, I got worried there." The clown sighed. "I just......I'm losing my fucking mind Jason......" LJ managed to spit out, a tear rolling down his cheek. "I-I miss her. I miss them." Jason sighed. He knew LJ was sad, but letting that get into the mission would ruin it. "You can go home if you don't feel like doing this, man." LJ shook his head. "No. I need to be on this search. I......I need to find her and make them pay." Jason shuddered at the monochrome being's tone. He was not messing around. The two continued to walk while discussing where they should start looking in the forest. They were talking about possible traps, possible places where they could be. However, Jack was worrying and panicking. What if they hurt them?! What if they were dead?! What if......What if they killed his little baby?! 'STOP LJ!! Don't do this to yourself! You're only making things worse!' The clown told himself as they continued. He wondered if the others made any progress either. Taking in deep breaths again, he focused on the task at hand. At this point, he didn't care about anything else. He just wanted his wife and daughter back home, safe and sound, unharmed. However......if he saw them......he knew he wouldn't hold back his anger.
