As evening fell, the fairy lights glowed colorfully across the meadow. The young people stood in groups at the tables, while only a few were still sitting at the water's edge, dangling their feet in the water. The atmosphere was cozy and pleasant on this warm summer evening and even the small group, seemed to be having a good time, also after Lalisa's performance. Although Wooyoung and San had engaged in a conversation with Baekhyun that seemed very unusual, Taehyun at least didn't seem to stare at his best friend and his ex incessantly anymore.

In fact, they were sitting on the ground near the shore, and Beomgyu, who had made himself comfortable cross-legged next to Yeonjun, was also glancing at Taehyun every now and then. It was understandable that he was worried, only he had to settle this with Yeonjun alone. And that would probably take time.

Beomgyu's gaze fell on their knees, which touched only occasionally in small movements, and Yeonjun held the cup of his drink in his hand, gazing at the water that was quietly making small waves. Even though the former couple was silent, it was merely a silence because they needed to sort out their feelings. Everything said seemed to be hard to digest for the elder, but as soon as the thing about his mother crept into his brain, he shook his head.

"Where did you actually meet the girls?" asked Yeonjun then with interest, not taking his eyes off the water. "Well ... Lalisa said you did because of Taehyun."

Beomgyu looked up and smiled. "Yes, it's all Taehyun's fault. He thought it would do me good to meet new people. And maybe he was right about that, hanging out with girls was different than hanging out with Kai or Soobin. Although Jennie reminded me a lot of Renjun sometimes - from the sarcastic things she said," the 27-year-old told his ex-boyfriend, letting his gaze continue to wander to Lalisa, who was getting more than a definite look from Wooyoung. "What about your friends? Has Wooyoung been getting hit on the head a lot?" With a gesture, he pointed out his obvious flirty attitude towards the girl.

Yeonjun nodded, then laughed lightly.

"He thinks the girls are at his feet. Funny, considering how many rejections he's taking, and that he's obviously interested in a girl who's not even into guys." Immediately, he remembered that night at the fancy club. Lalisa said she wasn't interested in boys any more than Beomgyu was.
