In fact, like a family, the three of them sat at the table and ate their breakfast. They chatted about whatever came to mind, and any outsider would have seen how good it was for them to be together again. Yeonjun would have loved to drag out this moment for hours, but he knew that duty called.
"What time do you have to be at work, anyway?", Kai asked him, spooning his yogurt.
A glance at the clock on the refrigerator told the florist that he still had some time left. "I still have some time."
Kai, on the other hand, was already more or less on the go, already putting together the dishes he had used. "Okay, that means I'll see you again in the evening then?" the blond Hawaiian said, before his gaze moved on to Beomgyu. "What about you? Can you stay already?", Kai added with a grin.
Slightly embarrassed, Beomgyu glanced at the elder. "I don't know."
Puzzled, Yeonjun looked around between the two because it almost sounded like Beomgyu needed permission. "What do you mean permission?"
"You're the master of the house, after all," Kai said, having taken the silverware to the sink and now standing by the table again to look at the two. "We're just guests."
"Pffff," Yeonjun snorted, even letting out a short laugh before resting his arm on the back of Beomgyu's chair. "We chose the apartment together back then, you're always welcome."
Beomgyu turned his gaze to the brown-haired man, who seemed to be back to his old self. The sad and sorrowful face was gone, and even yesterday Yeonjun had quickly fallen into his usual demeanor, taking him in his arms, kissing his forehead, and even now the florist's hand was on the back of Beomgyu's chair. "Do you want me to stay?" he finally asked Yeonjun, and he didn't just mean overnight.
A smirk conjured itself on the latter's full lips, for this apartment was only a home when his darling was with him. "It's best you stay forever," he whispered, although he could guess that this would not pass Kai by. Gently, he ran the back of the chair, the corners of his mouth twitching every now and then.
Trying to suppress his smile, Beomgyu pressed his lips together. "Okay," he whispered back, and they both cashed in a giggle from the nestling.
"Okay then, I'll leave you two lovebirds alone for a few more minutes," Kai said goodbye, waved goodbye, and left the apartment, causing the door to slam into the lock overly loudly already after Beomgyu became aware that he was now alone with Yeonjun. The latter had looked after the youngest, turning his gaze back to Beomgyu.
