After a while of the pair simply drinking together at the bar, Kai and Soobin had rejoined them. They discussed wildly about the tasks and especially about the rhymes their friends had come up with.

Still Yeonjun could laugh at it and also bought several rounds.

Beomgyu chuckled, then turned to Kai. "Chenle and Jisung are sitting somewhere near the stage and have been asking for you," he let the youngest know, gesturing for him to hurry up. Then the dark-haired man turned back to Yeonjun and pressed a kiss to his lips. "And I'll go find Taehyun and Eunwoo, and we'll meet back here, okay?"

Before Yeonjun had a chance to hold him, the younger Choi scurried off, leaving the black-haired man alone with Soobin, who still hadn't managed to drink the banana liquor.

"Why aren't you drinking?" the 29-year-old asked, tilting his head as Soobin gazed into the yellow liquid.

Soobin waved the shot glass.

"It'll come," he let the older man know, looking back down at the glass in his hand as if undecided whether he should actually drink it yet. Yeonjun could only interpret Soobin's mood as actually being due to the breakup.

But it had actually been several months, so why hadn't he said a word about it?

"You know...," Yeonjun started and looked into his drink glass, nudging the taller one lightly with his shoulder, "that you can talk to me about anything, right? I'm interested in your life."

Surprised, the blue-haired man looked up and looked at Yeonjun. At the same time, a rather embarrassed smile flitted across his lips. "Where did this care suddenly come from? Do I have to die?" joked Soobin, looking at his glass again. "Sure I do," he added, "maybe it's the booze and Daisy. There's just a hell of a lot going on here."

The older man let his gaze wander thoughtfully. Over the dancing heads, the lights and the many glasses. It was hard to imagine that this club would soon close. And it made the player at the time melancholy. Moreover, the alcohol mixed with his feelings and magically pulled the corners of his mouth into the abyss.
