"Yo Danny boy!" He said and they slammed their hands and feet together. That was their signature greeting.

Helen and I laughed.

"Where the hell have you been?" Dan said.

"No curse words." Helen said.

"Running errands for my boss as usual."

"I missed you guys! Where's Alex?"

"He's on his way. I'll definitely beat you this time on fifa."

"Cut it. He's going to school." Helen said.

"Wrong timing Kelvin." Daniel said with a chuckle.

"Since I wasn't noticed I'll just take my bags and be leaving for work." I said feeling completely left out of the conversation.

"I can't believe you're still working at that mansion. I mean you're really strong Tes like...don't you ever miss him. I mean that'll bring a shit load of memories."

"No curse words kelvin. You're in front of a child."

"I'm not a child." Dan defended.

I took in a deep breath. "Well I guess the ticket I've gotten has really helped a lot. Come on...before the incident at Eastern block, we were so poor but now we can eat three square meal and have extra. Dan's going to school and we're happy...I guess."

"And what about you miss? When'll you continue your studies?" Helen asked

"Soon...maybe next month."

"You've been saying next month for some time now. Maybe you don't just want to graduate. That'll make you a half baked illiterate." Helen snapped.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm definitely going back to school. Kelvin be a darling and take Dan to school. He's running late and she is cooking." I tried to change the topic lol.

Kelvin nodded and came closer to me so he could whisper into my ears. "How long are you gonna hold up with this fight?"

I became defensive. "You know the full story and you're aware that it's totally not my fault."

He giggled. "You definitely had a fault in it. Oh well, he's outside in his car?"

"He came with you?!" I was surprised.

"Yep. You can go meet him and settle this love play once and for all."

Immediately, I got so excited to the fact that he came over. I mean, I've missed him so much but I wanted to act tough so I said. "Tell him to go back home."

Kelvin said. "You're obviously very excited..."

"Ssshhh." I said and looked away for a moment.

Fuck it.

I couldn't act tough cause he had this magnetic force that kept drawing me to him. I stood up from the seat and rushed outside like I just received a lottery and got to his car. The moment he saw me, he began to laugh and got out of his car.

"I thought you were angry. Why did you run out here like..."

I was still panting. "I'm still angry with you."

"Really?" He rose a brow and stepped closer to me. I moved back still trying to deny the fact that if we were too close, I'll have shivers all over my body. That fire slowly began to ignite and I took a deep breath.

"Bran..."

"Ssshhh." He said with a low and sexy voice. I gulped in spit and admired his pretty soft lips.

"You're patronizing me?"

"You can see it that way."

"I hate you cause you know how to just..."

"I know baby and I love you too." He stepped closer. This time I stood my ground and he placed his finger on my pants. Slowly, he traced it down to my coochie and slightly pressed his finger on my labia. Then parted them slightly that I let out a moan. "This pants are limiting Tess."

I chuckled. "I really want you to get them off."

He smiled. "People are watching."

"Who cares..." Then I stopped and thought for a while. "Maybe we should go inside?"

We both busted into laughter before he locked lips with mine for a while. "I've missed you...Houston."

"Don't annoy me again." I said with a chuckle and he shook his head. "I'm definitely gonna annoy you forever."

He lifted me from the ground and placed me on his car and I laughed. "Fuck you."

"I love you too."

"I love you more." I stared into his eyes for a while thinking of how much I was in love with this human. We definitely had passed through a lot together and our story was one of a kind. It was something I would never forget.

"I wonder what I would've done if you died back then." I said sadly and he kissed my lips slowly and ruffled my hair.

"I wasn't joking when I said I'll forever keep you safe. How would I do it if I died?"

True. I gave him a hug so tight like he was going off for some war. "Don't go. Stay till tomorrow..." I was interrupted by a call from an unknown number.

"Who's that?" I asked staring at the number.

He shook his head. "Let's find out."

He picked it and placed it on loudspeaker.

There was no sound from the other end for a while. Then, Bran broke the silence. "Would you say something?"

A tiny female voice came on. "Hey Brandon Edwin...it's Jennifer Casirk. Guess you thought I was dead." She began to laugh hysterically.

Our eyes widened in shock and we stared at each other for a short while. I was confused! Wasn't this person dead? I quickly took the phone from his hand and ended it. My breathing quickened and my heart began to beat faster. He placed his hand in mine with a smile. "We'll get through this too."

I nodded and hoped within me that what he said would come actually happen. I was finally having the peace of mind I desired and now this?

I knew that Jennifer appearing into the picture was no joke at all because I had been in her shoes. The strong urge to make all the people involved in her father's death pay. That desire. That pain. That feeling of vengeance was real and I knew she wouldn't rest until she killed everyone involved. She could go through any length just to ensure that anyone involved will pay. I've been there before and I could relate to that feeling.

But,I don't want to lose anyone again.
