I'm so sorryyyy guys. This took longer than expected. Phew.
It was drizzling and I could feel the droplets on my skin since the window wasn't closed. I've been waiting for an hour and I kept trying my best to be patient.
Why was it taking so long though? I looked around to find any traces of them but there were none.
I leaned into the chair and began thinking of so many things. Being held down here had calmed me and made me see things in a better way. I shook my head as thoughts of how far I've gone crossed my mind. No doubts that a lot had changed since my dad died. I was a different person who could even kill a human being. When did I turn out to be like this? It was sad but what needed to be done had to be taken care of. Staring at the cuffs, I knew that I couldn't release myself because, I've tried before.
Then, my eyes fell on someone walking towards the car. He was pointing the rifle in his hands to the car. I froze. I've been caught!
I prayed within me that he hadn't noticed I was inside but, if he got any closer, he'll for sure pull the trigger. Then, he stopped one meter from the car and said out loud. "Brandon Edwin? Why did he park here?"
I knew that voice somewhere but, I couldn't remember. Oh well, I prayed that he wouldn't walk closer. I bit my lower lip in fear as I kept praying within me.
Then.
He began to walk closer and this time faster. Geez! What was I gonna do? I couldn't even hide cause I was cuffed to the door.
Was this really the end?
Then, he stopped again and this time, pointed the rifle at me! I froze for the second time! Had he seen me already? His sight must be good cause, he was still far.
"Don't move." He called out and I remembered his voice. It was Alex. Should I tell him I'm the one he met with Bran in that restaurant? Gosh. What if he still kills me since I'm in the premises of their hideout. Worst of all, in Bran's car which is very suspicious. It would've been better if I was in mine so it'll be like I just parked there to do something. Shit, I was confused.
Immediately, he pulled the trigger which sent shivers to my spine. I closed my eyes in fear and began to shake. Was this the end? I could see death flash before my eyes that tears began to roll on my face.
"Do you want to kill me?" Kelvin asked in between chuckles and I opened my eyes slowly. I checked my body and figured that I sustained no injury. Hallelujah.
"Just wanted to scare you guys." Alex replied and rushed behind the car trying to snatch something from Kelvin's hand who was trying to stop him. They were playing. I could tell that he didn't even know I was there which was a big relief. In no time, Bran entered the car and started it.
"Hey man, are you leaving without me?" Kelvin asked still playing with Alex.
"Of course dick head." Alex answered and added. "You're not leaving with my torch."
"Fuck off man. It's now my torch."
"Dickhead." That put a smile on my face and I chuckled a bit. I turned to Bran who hadn't said anything since and noticed that his expression was odd.
"Bra..." he began to drive with his eyes fixed on the road. Why was he acting this way? Well, that wasn't my concern at that moment. I just wanted him to tell me what happened in my absence.
"I have no idea why you're acting this way but, tell me what I have to know. What did Demorte say?" I went straight to the point.
Make that star shine guys. Eek!
