Heyy. Missed me? Haha. So, I listened to Rewrite the stars by Zac Efron and Zendaya. Enjoyyyy.
Exhausted was an understatement if I was to explain how I was feeling at the moment. Today, many guests came to the mansion and couldn't do anything but eat. The dishes were so numerous that Rosie had to even assist us.
Gen explained that the reason for having so many guests was the fact that the election day was fast approaching. She added that every member of Edwin's family would be at home this period meaning more dishes and work. My ears were already tired while I was listening to her. Oh well. I signed up for this. Just to put in effort and I'll get chosen as one of the most hardworking maids. Pray for me. Lol.
"Good night Teresa." Gen said as she closed her drawer where she kept her uniform and other necessary things she'll need in the mansion. We were in the dressing room where each maid had a drawer to herself. The dressing room for the guards was just beside ours in which some maids were pleased with so, they could get to admire the sexy guards whenever they wanted to.
Actually, we were the only ones in the dressing room at that moment because we had to stay late to finish up with those dishes. The other girls in the kitchen had already left.
She ruffled my hair as she walked away and I said out loud. "Cheers to a less stressful tomorrow."
She chuckled. "Cheers!"
I took in a deep breath as I realised that slowly, I was adapting to my new life. Who would have thought that I'd be a maid? From an innocent family girl to a maid still contemplating if she should use everything within her power to get her father's murderer to justice! Wow. What a transformation.
"I guess I just have to accept this new me." I said to myself as I carefully placed my uniform in my drawer. I walked out of the dressing room and locked the door then, I saw Rosie who was walking like she had seen something terrifying. I could even tell that she hadn't noticed my presence. Getting to the door, she grabbed the handle and pushed the door but it wouldn't open till she realized it was locked and noticed I was standing there.
"Did you lock the door?!" She screamed which surprised me. Why was she so agitated?
"Yeah...I did."
"Omg he's gonna see me like this."
I looked at her from head to toe and noticed that the bottom of her dress was wet plus there were few stains of oil on it. But, who was she talking about? "Who?"
"That ain't none of your business."
Wow.
Well, she was right. Whatever.
Quickly, she unlocked the door by turning the knob above the door's handle and rushed inside. "Puff weird." I said and wanted to walk away and mind my business but, I didn't. I saw him walking into the hallway I was in with his hands in his pockets.
Then, it clicked. Ha. Blonde Rosie was running away from Bran so, he wouldn't see her that way. It was so funny that I began to giggle softly.
Finally, he had gotten to where I was and he rose his brows. "Why're you still here? It's fucking late."
I heaved. "I'm really tired. Had so many dishes to wash."
"Ohh...those guests."
"Yeah those guests. Well, it's what I signed up for so...."
"Do you like sushi?" He asked with bright eyes but I was shocked. I was just explaining to him how tired I was and he comes up with sushi.
"Uhm I was telling you something." I thought to remind him.
"Yeah...I know. Having sushi this evening isn't bad, is it?"
"Uh, no it's not." Still wondering what the hell was wrong with him.
"Yeah...it's also fine by me."
I thought for a moment. "Wait...let me get this straight. You want us to go eat sushi...."
"At my favorite sushi restaurant. It's simple. Once you taste that sushi, you'd forget that you were ever tired." He said.
Honestly, it wasn't a bad idea. I mean, doing anything with Bran was never a bad idea and he always had a way of making me say yes. Without thinking further, I smiled saying. "I'm definitely in."
The door to our dressing room opened which startled both of us. Rosie stepped out in casual clothes and said. "Oh...hey Bran."
"Hey." He said unbothered.
She smiled like she had just won a lottery and she added. "Bye Bran."
He frowned in confusion and I totally understood why he was. "Bye... I guess."
She chuckled lightly and left. Our eyes met and we began to laugh at whatever that just happened because it was so awkward.
