It's you - Ali Gatie

Seconds became minutes, minutes became hours, hours became days and days became a month. All of these passed like it was nothing and the fact that we couldn't stop or pause time was what drove us to do better in all we do.

Time's not on our side was a truthful saying indeed but we have to plan things the right way so we could make use of our time. I guess that's what we're meant to do.
I kept working hard enough so I could please Sister Rosie and get an opportunity to a ticket. Damn I had so much in store for that ticket and couldn't wait to start achieving them. Thanks Helen..once again.

Although, I felt Rosie had a crush on Bran since she always acted in a funny way whenever they were in close proximity. Trust me that was really awkward. Lol.

The elections had already started and no one could deny that the environment in the mansion was stiff. Everyone was crucially hoping that Edwin would win. In my opinion, I really wanted him to win cause he had the potential to make the city better. Though the problem of drug lords couldn't be annihilated but it'd be most appreciated if he'd do something about it.

As for Mom and Daniel, they were fending for themselves and I tried to ensure that she wouldn't stress herself so much to prevent a repetition of what happened.

Genevieve kept mentoring me on some things and we got quite closer. I mean, having a friend that close wasn't a bad idea. I began to even ask myself why I didn't like having friends. Gen was an amazing person trust me so it should be that I've been meeting the wrong people. I tried to console myself.

Oh well.

Bran and I got closer as expected. Although he never spoke of what happened in that sushi restaurant. It wasn't my business by the way but, it was an irony that couldn't be ignored. I mean, their fathers are best friends and Bran works for his granddad so, why the fuss?

I liked being around him cause he always had a way of putting a smile on my face. He was a happy, sweet and playful person but also stern when it came to some matters. Also, I had this sexual tension building up anytime we were close to each other. It was like I wanted to feel his touch anywhere on my body. Apart from that, I knew I liked him but I would never admit it. Still kept fighting with that because I didn't know how he also felt about me. What if he just wanted us to be friends? He never mentioned anything concerning all these things. Oh shoot.

It was like a long bridge between Dylan and I because, we didn't make contact since that day and I just felt like he was just too busy with work. Oh well. What can I say?

I dried my hands on the apron I had on as I got startled by a thunderous scream from people. I wasn't surprised.

Everyone was in the master parlour waiting to know the results of the election. Each person was basically tensed but with that scream, I could tell that Edwin won.

"Yes!" I said with passion as the door flung open. It was bright faced Gen who was grinning widely. Silence filled the kitchen in anticipation of what she was going to say, then she screamed. "He won!!!"

"I know! I know!" We hugged ourselves tightly.

"I'm so excited." She said and I laughed. "Me too."

A win for Edwin was a win for all of us. Trust me. He was a very generous man. "Come on to where everyone is. I heard Mrs Edwin has sent for fifty bottles of wine." She said.

"I bet it's a very expensive brand."

"Unarguably. I'll be waiting." She ran out of the kitchen like she didn't want to miss anything.

I smiled within me as I turned to arrange glass cups for the wine. Remember I'm trying to impress cause of that ticket.

Estimating a maximum of hundred cups, I started arranging and the door opened. I turned to see Bran with his hands in his pockets. He looked so cool with his hair a bit scattered.

Immediately, a smile crossed my face. "We won!"

He smirked. "My dad won not us."

I ignored that cause I was too excited. "No shit...It's for all of us."

Then he smiled as he leaned his back against one of the tables.

"Tell me there's no bit of excitement in you right now." I said moving closer to him so I could inspect his face.

"What're you doing?" He asked and I pouted. "Checking for any excitement."

He shook his head and moved very close to me. At that moment, there was no space between us and we could share each other's breath. I felt that fire ignite within me that I became still. His cologne filled my nose and I just lingered for his touch.

If I would say a word, I knew that my voice would break so I remained silent. Then, I stepped back but he used his arm to prevent me then we stared deeply into our eyes. Those beautiful eyes of his. Damn. Bran, you're gorgeous.

He used his other hand to ruffle my hair and I chuckled. "Hey, what's that for?"

"Affection."

"Wha...." Then he pulled me in for a warm hug that put a grin on my face. I wrapped my arms around him and tightened the hug.

"I'm very excited Teresa and I came to share this feeling with you."

His words widened my grin and I just felt safe and loved in his arms. Can't remember the last time I felt that way. Then, slowly his long hands began to travel down my back slowly till he stopped at my ass. My breath began to quicken as he gently rubbed and squeezed my soft ass. I wanted to kiss him so bad that I released the hug a little bit so I could look at his lips. His eyes were dimmed and he also stared down at my face. He slowly began to duck his head lower and closer to mine.

Gen opened the door and said. "Came to get the cups...ooops." Realizing that she was interrupting something, she wanted to leave but I called her. "Gen, let's arrange the cups."

He released me completely from the hug and pecked my forehead. "You'll need an extra hand."

"No sir...you can't..." Gen said and he answered. "I insist."

I shook my head. "No, you can't. Rosie would be disappointed and that won't be a good impression for we that our lives depend on tickets."

"Tere..."

"Please Bran.." I said so he would understand with me. He shrugged. "Okay."

That night was one hell of celebration cause it lasted till 5am. What a blissful night as his words kept replaying in my head.

"I'm very excited Teresa and I came to share this feeling with you."

That was a special thing I couldn't deny. Oh well.
