Heyyyy! Yoooo! Hahaha! So uhm... I had to like announce my presence. Okay, I had an exam.
The problem wasn't the exam but the fact that it kept being postponed. Trust me, I had a lot to cover up so even as the exams kept being postponed, I couldn't write cause I used that time to keep reading for it. That's why I went all MIA on you guys haha.
I don't know if I'm to apologize...but I kept you guys waiting for this long so, I'm sorry.
When I finish this book, I'll do a lot of editing and stuff. Yeah yeah. And I'll also do a face reveal for all my characters in the very first chapter named, Te Quiero. Which means, when the book ends, you'll see the faces of all your favorite characters. Yayyy.
Aii guys, shall we?Teresa's POV
The subtle music that played in the background. The smell of liquor. The sounds of drunk men laughing and wasting themselves on the many bottles they had ingested. The look of the ones who couldn't talk but just whirled away in a corner. Wasted was an understatement for that category.
The sounds of glass cups being jammed as a toast of joy. They had joy in what they were doing or they were trying to escape from memories that kept hunting them. But as for me, I had no joy. I was just restless cause I had to find him...Brandon.
Where are you?
Genevieve was very sure that you were going to be in this bar. Then, my eyes fell on him. He was sitting right in front of the counter with his back facing me.
I could never mix his stature or hair with anyone else's. I was sure he was the one. I walked closer and placed my hand on his shoulder and he turned to see who it was. His eyes were so red that I could tell he was intoxicated. Immediately my eyes watered as I remembered how I broke the tragic news to him."Yeah...go home to your mother who's cheating on your father with his fucking best friend!!!"
I shouldn't have said that to him. I was damn so stupid. I wrapped my arms around him and started crying cause everything was frustrating. "I'm....I'm...so...sorr...sorry."
He heaved and turned to face me so we could hug properly. He hugged me so tight as I kept talking. "I was just too angry...and...and you wouldn't tell me... who killed my dad...and I had this secret...and...and I was confused if I should tell you or not...and... I was just..."
"I'm sorry." He silenced me with a broken voice. "Thanks for telling me, Teresa. Nothing you did was wrong."
I pulled out of the hug to see his sad face and said. "No...that's not true."
"It is." He said. "I wouldn't have known a lot of things like Dylan being my brother."
My eyes widened. "What?" THE HELL!
"Look, it's complicated and I wouldn't have known the truth if you didn't spill." He stared deeply into my eyes and added. "We should never fight again...please Teresa." His eyes were also pleading and I rushed to hug him tighter than the first one. "We should never."
We agreed on that even though we were aware that it was an inevitable thing.
We pulled out of the hug and locked lips. Gosh. That fire he always ignited in me came alive once again. He kissed my lips like he would never lose me. I missed him. Man, I missed his soft lips as I ran my hand through his hair. He pulled me closer to him as he started kissing my neck passionately and then back to my lips then he whispered into my face. "I've missed you Houston."
I nodded as a little tear dropped from my face and he wiped it off with his fingers. He pecked my forehead for what felt like five minutes and then said. "I'm sorry...I thought if I kept the murderer from you...it'll be better for you. But you're no child and you deserve to know."
Thank you Jesus! I nodded.
He reached out for my hand and caressed it slowly. "Forgive me Teresa."
"It's fine. Just tell me." I was getting anxious but still keeping my cool so he wouldn't change his mind.
He heaved. "I'm still debating within me cause this would hurt you...badly."
"I'm up for it and I'm ready to kill the person also."
He chuckled slightly. "You can't kill the person..." then he came closer to my ears and whispered.
I froze immediately on the spot after hearing what he said.
