"Finally, we're done with the dishes. Lovelyn told me that one of Mr Edwin's guests is still eating so, we like have to wait before we start cleaning the tables." She pointed to one of the tables with a bright face.
As for me, my legs were crossed so I could hold the urine that was trying to unleash itself from within me.
Looking around this kitchen, my instincts had already informed me that no single toilet was in here. In fact, why would there be a toilet in the kitchen?
I asked as polite as I could....regardless of the 'suffering' I was undergoing. "Ugh Gen...I need to...."
She lifted her brows in understanding. "Ohh okay, there's a restroom for maids but I doubt that you're gonna find it on your own."
"Then, lead the way for crying out loud. The last thing I want to do on my first day at work is to wet my pant."
She chuckled hard. "Come here."
We walked passed two long corridors before we got to a door with a toilet signal on it.
"Yeah, this is it."
"Thank you." I said still trying to hold myself. It was hard but, my attention got caught when I saw Bran from a distance behind her. He didn't seem to notice what was happening but that was least of my problems. I needed to answer nature's call!
I hurriedly got inside, searched for a perfect toilet stall so I could be comfortable and when I did, I knew that the word 'relief' is actually underrated. Finally!
Adjusting my gown in the large mirror in front of me, I wondered how long it has been since I saw myself in the mirror. I guess the last time I did was in Edwin's company before the blood bath.
I took in a deep breath as I looked at how beautiful I was. I stared at my small lips and big pretty brown eyes. My nose was perfectly pointed that I wondered why I never really saw this beauty I had.
Lmao.
Fuck all those people that made me feel uncomfortable in my skin.
Then, I shook the whole admiration thought out of my head and came back to how reality actually was. How I needed money for literally everything. How I had to work for this money. It was a lot trust me but, we move! That's all we do in difficulties...pray and keep going. That was it.
I walked out of the restroom and gasped when I sensed a figure resting on the wall just beside the door to the restroom. Damn that was frightening.
When I got out of shock, I realised it was Bran who was resting his back against the wall like he was waiting for me or something. I also noticed that, he had already changed into casual clothes but, his scent filled my nostrils.
"Scared of?"
I frowned in remembrance of everything that happened in the kitchen. "I'm sure you've got your own 'special' restroom so, I'm like wondering why you're actually here."
He smirked. "What am I leaning against?"
"A wall." I said it in a way like he was dumb.
"Exactly....this is any random wall in this mansion that I can lean against to rest my back."
"Whatever. Resting beside a restroom. Oh, how hygienic." I had to be careful even if we already had this sort of friendship but I really couldn't tell from what happened in the kitchen. He could actually just sack me for talking anyhow!
That smirk on his face was the worst thing my eyes had seen today and he knew that. I just wanted to clean it off. "I choose to do whatever I wanna do."
"Yeah right." I turned my back to go and he said. "You look sexy in this uniform."
I turned back so, he could see my face and I rolled my eyes. "So?"
"Slow."
I groaned. He should stop calling me that name cause I'm not slow in any way!
"I saw what you did back there....acting like I am a stranger."
He grinned. "Oh yeah, I kinda forgot your name."
Wow. He really said that he didn't remember the name of someone that helped him in taking out Jennifer Casirk and also save his ass in the station. "Bran...I can't believe you right now."
He laughed harder like he was having fun and I rolled my eyes. I shouldn't have turned back.
"Come on....uhh I wanna take you somewhere."
"Leave my work and follow you to some place isn't logical. I just got this job and I ain't losing it."
"You doubt me Tes." He grinned. "Uhm hey....lady in red. Come here."
I heard footsteps walk past me as a brunette sister stopped infront of him. "Yeah Bran."
"Who's the sister in charge of the kitchen?"
"Rosie..."
"I don't care I just realised. Tell her that Teresa over here has completed today's work."
She frowned. "But she just came today."
"Deliver my message when you see that sister. You can leave."
She muffled words under her breath and left. I walked closer to him. "You're creating enemies for me already."
"You'll have a lot of enemies so, this is just the beginning."
I gasped. "Bran....I need...." the price cause I'm really broke so I wouldn't want something to deny me of this. Those were what I'd have said if he hadn't interrupted me.
"Let's go."
"I can't...."
"Please." He said looking into my eyes.
Hey guys so I just wanted to add this. I'll be adding at most two chapters daily. I guess this would help in keeping me consistent. Some days, it'd be just one chapter but a long one. I really hope y'all are enjoying the story. Like I always say, I have so so much in store. Have a nice day/night. x
