Hey guys. I can't believe it but we're in chapter fifty. Cheers!
Teresa's POV
My mind was going through a whole lot as I remembered Baldwin's voice saying those words.
"Raped her....and shot her ten good times."
I shook my head in anger as I realized that the woman who was killed and raped was Demorte's daughter. Meaning that Dylan was Demorte's grandson!!!
That was a lot to take in but, I was more annoyed with the fact that El decided to do such horrific thing to a human being. Then, I asked. "Why did he do that?"
Bran was surprised by my reaction but, I couldn't help it.
He moved closer to me like he didn't want any extra ear in our conversation and said. "It's a long story Tes."
"I don't care. I'm ready to listen...I want to know why he felt like he had the audacity to do such a thing."
"First of all, how do you know Dylan?" He rose a brow in wonder. Was he really doing this? Gosh.
"He's uhm...a Doctor...that once treated my mom." And a Doctor that once fingered your pussy. I shook those thoughts away so I could gain my sanity.
And he's the same man who was your date to that dinner. The date who abandoned you.
"He works at Laken?" He brought me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah...he was also the doctor in charge of Jennifer Casirk."
He smirked. "Wow, that's interesting."
"I know...tell me the story."
"Relax, I'll tell you." He cleared his throat acting like the story wasn't really important. If only he knew. "Demorte had a pretty daughter, Natalie, which every man admired. At that time, it was El and Farassis who were the top on her list."
He paused then continued. "Not sure but according to what I heard...she had a very romantic history with El...Demorte was against the relationship because, El always struggled for the supplies he wanted. Finally, he disallowed the marriage and gave his daughter to Farassis."
He took a bite from his sushi and kept on. "El got angry and went silent on the issue for like...eleven years. Actually, he told Natalie to refuse but she didn't so he swore that she and her father would pay. Thing is, nobody expected El to do such a callous thing."
I already knew the story of how he raped and killed Natalie. That alone got me angrier.
"Out of vengeance for not getting married to the love of his life, he sent men to kill the whole family telling his men to insert ten bullets in her body. It made zero sense." His face read disappointment. "There were other ways he could've handled that instead of going to that extent. Luckily for Farassis, he had an urgent meeting that day and I don't know how but, a guard was able to escape with Dylan."
He heaved. "El was no fool. He accepted Alex, our spy, into his gang because he used him to deliver the message to Demorte after the deed. Since then, Kelvin didn't really like Alex even if he knew that it wasn't his fault. He felt like he should've done something about it...maybe like send a message to Demorte before the whole incident."
I heaved. "That bastard."
"That's the reason why Demorte wants Jennifer dead. It's just like payback. You kill my daughter, I kill yours too."
Whatever grudge they had between themselves wasn't my concern cause I began to wonder. Could it be that the actual father of Dylan is El? Since he had a relationship with his mother, it was very possible.
"I know what you're thinking." Bran said cockily. "A dna confirmatory test was taken to know his real father but it turned out to be Farassis."
I smiled within me. Couldn't imagine that bastard as Dylan's dad.
El.
I wanted to do the worst thing I could think of but then I got interrupted by Bran's smirk as he stared in space. I wondered what was amusing him as I turned my back to see Dylan standing in a black long coat at the entrance.
"We talked about him and here he is." Bran said slowly in amusement.
I hope you're not getting confused. Just a reminder...Love y'all.
