CUARENTA Y OCHO

Okay, this took a while. I had to take this break so I could reflect on some things concerning this book. I can't mention what exactly but, I've decided to continue with the book and I'm sorry. Sooo, I hope we're all excited cause I am. Yay!

Few people stood outside the restaurant talking and enjoying the cold while others walked inside. The restaurant was a bit small from the outside and had wooden walls. From where I was standing, I could tell that the inside was going to be full of people.

The whole environment smelt like sushi and my stomach began to rumble. I actually wondered why I never knew this place.

I tucked the strand of black hair obstructing my eyes behind my ears and felt his arm around my shoulder as he pulled me close. "Can you feel the number of people inside already?"

I nodded as I leaned closer to him. We were standing right in front of the restaurant. "I'm already wondering if we'll actually get a place to seat."

He chuckled. "Let's find out."

"I hope we don't get disappointed."

"I hope." He said as we walked into the restaurant. The whole place was congested and a bit rowdy because, everyone was talking at the same time. The only good part was that the ventilation was still intact.

I noticed a male albino waving his hands at us and Bran reciprocated with a smile. He then said at the top of his voice so, I could hear him amid the noise. "This is another reason why I love this place...the people." Controlling me with his arm, we started walking towards the albino.

"It's quite congested." Plus, I never expected Bran to have affinity for a place where the common people converged. Like a whole Bran Edwin. Lol.

"That's the point. Watching how these people relate while eating my sushi is just satisfying."

"I can really imagine." I started knowing more about this attractive man and it was pleasing.

As we reached the albino, they hugged themselves warmly and Bran said. "Alex."

"It's been a while my rich friend."

My rich friend? Who calls someone that?

"Since Demorte placed you and Kelvin in the front lines, we've not had time to eat our best sushi in the city."

"I know right. Good old times." Alex said. He had really broad shoulders and strong masculine features. Just from his look, I could tell that he was a dangerous person. "The VIP section has like two spaces left so, you guys came at the right time." Then, he smiled at me as Bran tried to use his eyes to search for the empty seats.

"You're pretty....I guess Bran has a good eye for females."

I stepped back awkwardly and Bran said. "Oh yeah... I do have good eyes. She's my girlfriend." He drew me closer with his arm and pecked my hair. I looked at him in confusion and he smirked.

"Uh thank you." I said to Alex who was also smiling at his friend. "Bran you should show me the way you do this."

Bran scratched the back of his head. "Uh it's easy....just wink at them..." he pulled my face to look at his and he stared into my eyes. At that moment, I admired his well sculpted face.

His pretty brown eyes, full brows, perfectly shaped nose and nice lips. All I could imagine was those lips caressing mine softly then, he winked.

I tried my best not to blush so he wouldn't prove a point to his friend but, I found myself smiling.

He ducked his head closer to mine that we could feel each other's face. I didn't even know when I closed my eyes and felt his nose slowly brushing mine that I began to get turned on. I parted my lips a little and moved them closer to his in anticipation for a kiss. Then, he said. "And that's how you do it."

Can you imagine?!!

Alex laughed. "You both are really cute."

I rolled my eyes and looked at him in embarrassment. "Bran...you'll pay...."

"Yes baby. I know you love me. Let's go eat cause I'm also hungry." He said and they both laughed.
