"Wei Ying! I can take care of myself!" [Y/N] whined as they walked along a path surrounded by plant life and greenery. Flashes of color would pop out amongst the greenery and the occasional bird or forest animal would scurry about.
"But [N/N]!" Wei Wuxian cried, fussing over his wife.
"Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I'm a complete waste! I may not be able to fight as well as I use to-"
"You can't fight at all! Your 8 months pregnant!" Wei Wuxian interrupted.
"-but that doesn't mean I cant do simple things like walking or eating or sewing!" [Y/N] finished, ignoring the raven haired mans interruption.
Wei Wuxian sighed, shoulders slumping. "Why must you be so stubborn?"
"Don't look at me like that, you were the one who decided to marry me AND the one who decided to fuck me." [Y/N] stuck her nose up in the air, one hand on her belly.
Wei Wuxian huffed. "Jiang Cheng always did say two stubborn people wouldn't be able to get along, let alone love each other!"
"Oh don't you start! I'll take this kid away before you even see a hair on their little head!" [Y/N] threatened.
"A-[Y/N]!" Wei Wuxian laughed nervously, stepping in front of her and stopping her from going any further. [Y/N] raised an eyebrow at him expectantly. "Hm? What?"
"I-I was just joking! Yo-you know I don't actually li-listen to Jiang Cheng, ruh-right?" His sweat dropped. He just prayed to the gods above that she would. He couldn't tell if she was joking or not.
[Y/N] had one hand on her belly and the other on her hip. She pursed her lips. "Well, I was just joking too, of course." She smiled sweetly before walking around him. Wei Wuxian smiled weakly, sighing in relief. His wifes mood swings had become worse over the past few weeks and he could no longer say certain things without her exploding or bursting into tears. It was like walking on eggshells, but he still loved her nonetheless and did everything he could to make her happy, loved, and cared for.
"Hey! [N/N]! Wait up!" Wei Wuxian spun around to see [Y/N] had already walked way ahead. "Don't go running off without me! [Y/N]!"

"Why did you want to make dumplings?" Wei Wuxian asked, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. [Y/N] shrugged mindlessly and continued to grab random things, some they would use and others they wouldn't.
"I just wanted dumplings.. And we didn't have any.."
Wei Wuxian yawned widely. "Why must it be at 3am? And why am I here?"
[Y/N] stopped and turned around to face him, pouting. "I was craving them.. and I didn't want to be alone..." She grabbed his warm hand with her own cold one. "I love you, you know? And I don't think you want to leave your wife all alone in a dark cold kitchen at night..."
Wei Wuxian still couldn't get over the butterflies that would float up every time she said those three words. He still couldn't believe they had even gotten together in the first place. (he still suspects a certain Nie had something to do with it.. but hey, he wasn't complaining.)
"Oh.. alright..." He smiled lazily. "I would have said yes anyway," he leaned forward and pecked her pouty lips. [Y/N] found herself smiling into the kiss, hands intertwined.
"Now! Let's make some dumplings!"
[Y/N] giggled softly. Wei Wuxian had woken up fast...
