"Dage! Tell Ge to leave me alone!" [Y/N] huffed. "He's so overprotective!" She ran behind a smiling Lan Xichen and hide, grabbing onto his long sleeve and peeking out. Just in the nick of time too. Lan Wangji, though look rather put together and stone faced as usual but his siblings knew he was actually rather flustered and worried, came rushing in.
"Xiongzhang, have you seen [Y/N]?"
Lan Xichen, looking far too amused for his own good, simply continued smiling. "Why are you looking for our Meimei?"
Lan Wangji frowned. "She's hurt."
"Hurt?" Xichen looked less amused now. "Hurt how?"
[Y/N] ducked back behind Xichen, not wanting to risk Wangji seeing her. It was already bad enough that Wangji was worried about her- but then he just had to go and tell Xichen who could be even more overprotective of her at times!
"She fell out of a tree." Lan Wangji said that far too calmly... [Y/N] squinted at the wall opposite her. There was a lovely window... She counted the steps from where she stood. She could probably make it...
"WHAT?!" Lan Xichen's loud shout of dismay made [Y/N] jump. "What do you mean she fell out of a tree?! Wangji you can't say such things so calmly!"
"I'm not calm!" Wangji protested still looking rather unbothered from an outsiders perceptive. "I saw her fall out of a tree this morning and when I tried to get her to go the healers she ran off! I've been chasing her all morning." He sighed. "Do you know where she is?"
Gah- of course leave it to her being hurt is what gets Wangji to speak in essay's.
When [Y/N] looked up, she saw Xichen whip right around to stare at her with wide, puppy-like, and very concerned eyes.
They were deadly!
[Y/N] immediately tried to make a dash for the window but Xichen was faster. His hand snapped out and snatched her wrist and pulled her away from her only way of escape.
And now she was trapped, with two rather protective and concerned older brothers crowding and preventing her from leaving.
"[Y/N]..." Wangji pouted (though it was mostly aimed at their older brother who had kind of sort of not really lied to him about where she was).
"I'm fine! Really! It's only a few scraps!" Her protests fell on deaf ears.
"[Y/N] why didn't you say anything?" Lan Xichen frowned as he fussed over her. He made sure to check and look at all of her, making sure he wasn't going to miss an injury.
"Because I didn't want you fussing over me too! Ge is already too much!" [Y/N] winced when Wangji poked a rather bruised part of her back. She could sense his frown. "You both have those deadly sad puppy eyes!"
"[Y/N] should go to the healers." Wangji stopped poking her. Thank Xie Lian.
[Y/N] pouted. She didn't like the healers (clearly). They were all really stern and mean and made sure she actually followed the rules and healed on time. They didn't let her have any fun.
"Do I have to?"
"Yes." They both said in unison. It was really creepy.
Look, [Y/N] knows they are called the 'twin jades' and all but that doesn't mean they are actual twins!
She huffed and avoided their sad puppy eyes.
"..fine... BUT! Only if you two stop fussing over me!"
They stared.
She stared back. And slapped Xichen's hand away from her face. And then also slapped Wangji's hand away from her arm.
They both (dejectedly) agreed to dial it back.
