"Wahhh! Don't let me go!" Jingyi screeched, clinging tighter to [Y/N]'s neck.
They rolled their eyes but adjusted their grip on Jingyi's legs, making sure he wouldn't fall. "Then stop moving so much."
"I'm not moving! You're trying to drop me!"
"If I wanted to drop you then I would," [Y/N] said, annoyed.
"Your spending too much time with the Young Mistress!" Lan Jingyi leaned forward more, hugging [Y/N]'s neck so tight that even [Y/N] was surprised how they could still breathe. "He's rubbing off on you!"
"Maybe you're just annoying."
"I'm not!"
"The most unLan ever." [Y/N] said bluntly. They walked past a group of disciples and got a few weird looks but the two chose to ignore them.
"Hey- Actually I'll take that as a compliment!" Jingyi's voice was thick with pride and [Y/N] wondered if he was ever sane to begin with (probably not-).
Their sweat dropped. "I don't think thats something you should be proud of."
"Why not?!"
"You get punished more than Senior Wei ever had and he was one hell of a troublemaker back then," [Y/N] said bluntly. "It seems you've broken nearly every rule, your too loud, you drink alcohol, you run-"
"Upah, upah! Shush! Don't say any more [Y/N]." Jingyi's hand covered their mouth.
[Y/N] did the only natural thing.
"Ack- Did you just lick my hand?!" Jingyi screeched in horror, leaning back and almost tipping them.
"What else was I supposed to do?" [Y/N] asked bluntly. "You were practically asking for it. Don't try and shut me up. It's not my fault they won't teach you the silencing spell yet."
"Sizhui knows it already!" Jingyi whined, tightening his grip on [Y/N]. "Yet I don't! We're nearly the same age. I can't help it if he's a few months older!"
"More like a year older. He is way more mature than you!"
"Not true!"
"Why do I have to carry you again?" [Y/N] rolled their eyes, so done with their life. "Its not my fault you got punished and now it hurts to walk (dirty mind-). Also I'm not the Lan. You're the one with the crazy arm strength, so why am I the one carrying you instead?"
"Because my dear [Y/N]-"
"Ew don't ever call me that again."
"-You love me!"
"I don't."
"You do!"
"I don't."
"You so clearly do! Don't argue with me."
"I don't."
"[Y/N]-"
[Y/N] dropped Jingyi and walked away, dusting their hands off.
Sizhui gladly let [Y/N] join him for afternoon tea.
