"Oh A-Ning careful." [Y/N] warned as he held on tightly to his younger brothers tiny hands. He walked slowly behind Wen Ning as he stumbled on his two clumsy feet like a new born calf.

Wen Qing huffed sourly under her breath as she looked up from her studies to see her two brothers having fun and getting zero work done. She narrowed her eyes and quickly looked back down at her work, burying her nose in a book. She missed the way [Y/N] would look up occasionally at her, silently pleading her to notice and come have some fun with them...

Wen Ning made some baby noises mixed with other words. He had recently started learning some words but the progress was slow and painful. He hadn't even said his real first word yet just mumbles and giggles.

[Y/N] sighed tiredly. He had been doing that a lot lately. Their parents, after Wen Ning was born, immediately went back to work leaving [Y/N] to look after Wen Ning and Wen Qing - who was older and could take care of herself better now. Though as work built up for the family, [Y/N] found himself losing sleep to catch up on his work and leaving Wen Qing to take care of her baby brother, spending less and less time with both of them. It was putting some strain on everyones relationship in the family (except Wen Ning who was too young to understand).

"A-Qing, why don't you take a break and come spend some time with A-Ning." [Y/N] suggested, giving up on trying to give her subtle hints.

Wen Qing looked up and stared coldly at him. She hadn't properly glared at him in a while (and [Y/N] was beginning to prefer when she had). "I'm busy. Maybe another time." And that was the end of that conversation.

[Y/N] sighed tiredly and picked up Wen Ning who grinning from ear to ear. He was just like the sun. So bright and innocent. [Y/N] smiled softly at his little brother who had yet to see the harshness of the world or... the problems of their family... "A-Ning, how about a nap? I bet all that walking tired you out. We could get you some fo..." His voice grew faint as he entered the house and closed the door behind him with his foot, arms full.

Wen Qing's grip tightened on her brush, nearly snapping the thing. "Who does he think he is..?!" She whispered, glaring at the papers that had done nothing wrong.

Most of them were written by [Y/N]... So they were automatically... wrong... It wasn't Wen [Y/N]'s fault that he was smart and had been ordered to rewrite ever medical book, paper, etc. that they had even had. His hand writing was familiar and comforting to Wen Qing at times and at others it was a harsh reminder that he was never around and always busy. 'Just like our parents...'
