"Wei Wuxian!"
"I didn't do it!"
[Y/N] paused in the doorway, looking at Wei Wuxian unimpressed. "I didn't even say what I needed."
"I just know!" Wei Wuxian crossed his arms. "I can tell by the tone of which you said my name! And whatever it is, I didn't do it!"
"What are you five?"
"Xianxian is three!" He grinned and held up 3 fingers.
[Y/N] stared.
Wei Wuxian stared back.

[Y/N] broke. He groaned. "It was so clearly you who did it. Who else would've broken in and put so many spices into tonights dinner that it's making everybody's tongues fall off? You have no taste!"
Wei Wuxian blinked. His hand fell to his side and he tilted his head slightly to the left. "Ah... You know I actually forgot about that..." He chuckled nervously. "Looks like... I did do it... after all..."
[Y/N] glared. "Wei Wuxian! Are you trying to burn everybody's tongues off?!"
"No~ Just trying to expand everybody's palate!"
"You have no more tastebuds! You've burned them all off from the amount of spice you put on your foods! It's one of the many reasons why you're banned from the kitchen unless Shijie is there!" [Y/N] pinched the bridge of his nose. "How did you even get into the kitchen?"
"Its not my fault everything you guys eat is just so... bland!"
"Don't blame us! All the food we eat is already heavily spiced! I'm sorry its not a flaming red hot mess like your food usually is!" [Y/N] snapped. He took a seat across from Wei Wuxian and crossed his arms.
Wei Wuxian sighed and then hesitantly reached across the table and grabbed onto [Y/N]'s hand.
"...I'm sorry..."
[Y/N] glared harder at him.
"...We could go and pick lotus pods... or we could go into town... I'm sure Uncle four has some left over dumplings..."
[Y/N] didn't answer.
Wei Wuxian pouted. "Aw come on... you can't stay mad at me forever! I promise I won't do it again! Not unless some Lan's visit!"
[Y/N]'s glare softened. He sighed and intertwined his fingers with Wei Wuxian's. He really couldn't stay mad at him for long... It just was so hard. Wei Wuxian was both the easiest and the hardest person to get/stay mad at for very long. He really was just a giant ball of sunshine sometimes. "Our food normally is already probably too much for them to handle."
Wei Wuxian's signature grin slipped right back onto his face. "I knew you couldn't stay mad at me for long!"
[Y/N] rolled his eyes. "I'll only forgive you if you take me out get some wine in town. And buy some dinner."
Wei Wuxian laughed. "Of course! It's a date then!"
"...yes a date..." [Y/N] ignored the steady warming of his face in favour of looking at Wei Wuxian's grey eyes. They looked like moonlight personified.
"Lets go!"

▶ Jiang Cheng later found out that Wei Wuxian was the culprit and almost did actually break his legs
▶ [Y/N] watched Wei Wuxian be chased around the training grounds for the better of 2 hours while he eat some of Yanli's soup (he greatly enjoyed the free entertainment)
