"Are you mad at me?"
No response.
"I'll take that as a yes," [Y/N] winced as Lan Wangji dabbed his face before putting a bandage over a cut. "Wangji, why are you mad at me?"
Lan Wangji didn't reply and grabbed some more bandages and gestured for [Y/N] so bring his head down. [Y/N] did so and Lan Wangji quietly began to wrap the [H/C] haired males head. It was rather tight but [Y/N] figured it was necessary since it was a head injury.
"Wanggjiiii!" [Y/N] dragged his name out. "Why are mad at me? All I did was protect you!"
Wangji paused and looked up, meeting [E/C] eyes for the first time since the battle had ended and he had taken [Y/N] away to take care of him. His molten golden eyes narrowed. He looked beyond pissed and [Y/N] winced, shrinking back at the sheer fury.
"You were injured,"
[Y/N] felt a little better. At least Wangji was speaking to him again and not ignoring him and giving him the silent treatment. That shit really hurt.
"Yeah? I just said I protected you!" [Y/N] frowned, confused. Wangji broke eye contact and continued to wrap [Y/N]'s head.
"injured... badly..." Wangji muttered.
"Oh Wangji!" [Y/N] huffed. "I can take a few hits! I'm an adult like you! Plus it wasn't even that bad! Just a few cuts and scratches." He waved it off, ignoring the Lans burning stare.
"You have a concussion, a cut that will scar on your face, your arms are fucked up, and you have a deep gash in your side." Wangji deadpanned. [Y/N] had never heard him speak so much. It scared him. His sweat dropped. "S-see? No-not that bad..." He shrunk back even more as Wangji gave him a death stare.
"Al-alright! It-its bad.. okay.. there? I-I admitted it.. It's....bad..." [Y/N] grimaced at his own words. Wangji didn't stop giving him the death stare however.
Wangji pulled him closer and hugged him tightly. It was out of character for him to do something like this but [Y/N] hugged him back just as tightly anyway. He must have been seriously concerned for [Y/N] to do something like this and [Y/N] felt guilty he had worried the Lan so much to this point. He had only wanted to protect the Lan. He hadn't meant to scare him so much.
"Its okay now. I'm okay. Wangji you don't have to worry anymore.." [Y/N] whispered softly.
"..promise...."
"I promise..."
