"Ling.. Ca-can we go back inside n-now..? It-its really cold..." [Y/N] stuttered, shivering and pulling their two other outer robes closer to their body in an attempt to warm themselves up.
"But A-[Y/N]! Its snowing! It hardly ever snows now!" Jin Ling huffed indigently, turning around with puffed cheeks. He uncrossed his arms when he saw the shivering [Y/N], teeth chattering, body shaking, and nose and cheeks bright red. He frowned.
He quickly turned back around to look at the snow again but he could no longer focus on the softly falling white dots that looked like powdered sugar. His mind was occupied with the shivering [Y/N]. They just wouldn't leave his mind and continued to burn a hole in his little mind.
[Y/N] bite their lip in an attempt to stop their teeth from chattering but it didn't help. They just wanted to go back inside but couldn't just leave Jin Ling out in the cold with no one around. He was the heir to the Jiang and Jin Clans. They could be killed if something happened to him. So they sucked it up and stayed outside with him.
Jin Ling slowly stepped back until his shoulder bumped into [Y/N]'s. He took his winter robe off and wrapped it around both of them, pulling [Y/N] close. His face was burning even out in the cold. "S-stupid.." The Jin muttered, looking away quickly.
He was really warm and [Y/N] found themself cozying up to him even more. They were apparently a lot colder than they had originally thought.
Hesitantly, they intwined their hand with Jin Ling's. When the Jin didn't pull away, [Y/N] smiled a small childish smile and leaned closer to him.
"Thanks.. Ling..."
Jin Ling only huffed, a cloud appearing.
[Y/N] smiled, content.
The two stayed outside, huddled close to each other for warmth, watching the snow fall until the sun finally set and they were forced back inside. They were given cups of warm milk and tea to help them warm up and were also given warm food freshly made.
It had turned out better than [Y/N] had thought and they were glad they had stuck it out and stayed outside with Jin Ling.
