[Y/N] smiled happily as she and Lan Wangji walked hand in hand through Cloud Recesses. They were headed to the furthest and deepest part, past where the bunnies are kept.
"Lan Zhan? Why are we going here? The bunnies are back there.." [Y/N] mumbled, confused. Lan Wangji didn't answer and continued to walk, tightening his grip on the [H/C] haired girls hand.
They continued to walk for what seemed to be forever and [Y/N] was beginning to wonder if the Lan was still thinking straight.. (sorry honey but he isn't-) He had been acting so strange lately and wouldn't tell her anything... Well that wasn't true. He just wouldn't tell her what they were doing so far out in Cloud Recesses.
Lan Wangji was basically dragging [Y/N] behind him, holding her wrist tightly, not wanting to let go in fear of what might happen. [Y/N] didn't mind this, she had heard of what had happened to Wei Wuxian. And Lan Wangji had told her briefly what had happened that fateful night. How the supposed 'evil Wei Wuxian' had fallen to his death (no one really knew how he died, that was just as much as a mystery as he was).
"..here..." Lan Wangji snapped [Y/N] out of her thoughts. she looked up, eyes widening. There in front of her sat 4 adorable looking little puppies. One was pure white, another was black and white, the third was brown, and the last one was brown and white. [Y/N] felt herself smiling as she ran over to them, falling onto the ground. They all climbed onto her and started barking happily, leaning into her touch.
Lan Wangji walked over calmly and sat next to her, smiling softly. She had told him for the longest time that she had always wanted to see puppies and the Lan made it his mission to find some for her. So he could see her smile..
"Oh Lan Zhan! Lan Zhan! Look at how cute they are!" [Y/N] squealed in delight as the white one licked her cheek. The black and white one was climbing up her shoulder while the brown one happily laid in her lap, tongue lolling out to the side. The brown and white one was running circles around her joyfully, barking loudly. "Aren't they the cutest! Oh I've always wanted this! Thank you so much!" [Y/N] turned to look at him, smiling brightly just like the sun (sorry mr. sun looks like you'll need a new job...). Lan Wangji was already envious of the puppies for stealing her attention but her smile was everything so he let it go. (for now...)
"Hn." He nodded his head, managing a small smile.
[Y/N] turned her attention back to the puppies, laughter and barking filled the meadow.
