"Xichen your going to get a cold! Won't you come inside?" [Y/N] pouted from where he was bundled up on their bed. He could barely move from how tightly he had wrapped himself - and he was still shivering!
"A-[Y/N], its not even that cold out."
"Its freezing!" And as if to prove his point, [Y/N] sneezed loudly.
[Y/N] glared at his husband who was quietly trying to hide his giggles. "Don't laugh!"
"I-I'm not... I swear..." Xichen coughed loudly which sounded suspiciously like a laugh. "But you must remember that I've grown up in these cold mountains. I'm used to such weather."
"This weather is stupid..." [Y/N] grumbled. "I want it to stop snowing! Can't the sun shine for once?"
"Darling, it's winter. Even if the sun did come out its still too weak to give out much warmth. You'd still be cold." Xichen gently reminded. He also continued to stand out on the little roofed porch, watching the little white petals of snow drift gently down onto the already white ground.
[Y/N] only continued to pout. "At least come in and close the door! I can feel the cold breeze from here!"
"Its not even that windy." Xichen smiled his dazzling smile that only [Y/N] got to see. And Wangji. But Wangji was Xichen's brother and besides [Y/N]'s husband's gorgeous smile was always more dazzling and brighter towards [Y/N]. He could feel his face grow warm. "Plus you're bundled up plenty. Aren't you warm enough? I'm sweating just looking at all those layers."
[Y/N] simply tried to snuggle further into his cocoon of warmth. Which wasn't really doing a very good job... Hmmm...
"Can't you come in and cuddle with me?" [Y/N] whined softly. "I like your cuddles... plus you know what they say. Sharing body heat is much more effective than any amount of blankets."
Xichen's smile widened. He walk in from the porch and closed the door. He slipped off his winter coat and took off his shoes. "If you wanted to cuddle, all you had to do was ask."
"Well... I..." [Y/N] flushed bright red. "Shush! It's much more enjoyable to complain!"
[Y/N] allowed Xichen to help him unsnuggle and unbundle himself from all his blankets so that the Lan man could slip into with him.
"Can't we lose a few blankets? I'll be sweating soon."
"Look whose complaining now!" [Y/N] huffed, trying not to sound too smug. He failed miserably. "Besides you can't ask me to let go of a few blankets!"
"The point of me coming over to cuddle you, besides from the fact that I love you dearly, was to help warm you up. You said it yourself, body heat is much more effective than blankets." Xichen gently judged [Y/N] who moved over so that Xichen would not be cramped. He wasn't that cruel.
He hated when the Lan used [Y/N]'s own words against him...
"Well! If you sweat then that just means more body heat! So no, I will not be removing any blankets."
Xichen's sweat dropped. "Darling... I- I don't think that's how that works..."
[Y/N] didn't answer and instead started wrapping them up with blankets (which was a little more difficult when there were two people instead of one).
Xichen sighed and admitted defeat. He pulled his lovely husband closer to him.
[Y/N] screeched loudly.
"WHAT- LET GO!!"
"Wha- A-[Y/N]?! You asked me to cuddle you!"
"YOUR HANDS ARE FREEZING!!!"
"Well you can help warm them up." Xichen grinned and he looked rather mischievous. [Y/N] didn't like it.
"NO! LET GO! AHHHH!! GET YOUR COLD DEAD FINGERS AWAY FROM ME!!!!"
"A-[Y/N] don't shout, we're in Cloud Recesses." Xichen calmly reminded.
"I DON'T CARE! GET YOUR COLD HANDS AWAY FROM ME!"

▶ Look I know its summer, but hear me out: snow.
▶ Um my hands are always freezing so that's why I added that part at the end (people always react like that unless its really fucking hot and then I'm like an ice pack to them *sigh*)
