"Eh- [Y/N]! Watch out-" Jingyi's warring was cut short. He spun around, sword raised, to see the [H/C] haired girl block an attack that was aimed for him. The Lan cursed himself for getting distracted and not being aware of his surroundings.
[Y/N] took the hit - a deep gash on her arm and some lighter ones on her other arm and a thin cut on her cheek. She hissed and slashed out, successfully hitting the corpse.
"[Y/N]!" Jingyi yelled out in concern. He ran over to her and tried to check her wounds but she slashed at him. Lan Jingyi quickly yelped, ducking down fast to avoid being hit. He glanced over his shoulder to see a corpse fall to the ground. "Oh..." Jingyi let out a sigh of relief.
"[Y/N]," he turned his attention back to the bleeding girl. "Your bleeding.. Come on we need to get those checked." Jingyi gently extended his hand.
[Y/N] hummed, taking his hand. They walked away from the battle field, the sun slowly coming up behind them, casting a long shadow.

"Are you feeling better now?" Jingyi asked. They had gotten they're injuries checked over and given a report of how the night hunt had gone. He kept checking over the [H/C] haired girls arms. They had been pretty deep gashes and he felt immensely guilty for not paying attention. It had cost [Y/N] getting injured because of him and he hated it.
[Y/N] hummed happily, getting patting his head as if to say, "don't worry about me, I'm okay now".
Jingyi smiled weakly, trying his hardest to ignore the guilt eating at him. '[Y/N] is fine now,' he reminded himself. 'She's safe now...'it's no thanks to you, a darker voice whispered. He chose to ignore that.
Jingyi blinked and looked up to see [Y/N] staring up at him in concern.
