"Can you watch where you're going?!"

[Y/N] hadn't meant to bump into the man. She's usually really good at paying attention to her surroundings despite her lacking vision but she was still caught up in her last rather nasty interaction with a shop owner monuments before her collision with the rather rude man. It probably could've been avoided. But here she was. No going back now.

[Y/N] stopped but didn't turn around.

"I almost dropped my food!"

She ignored him and kept walking.

She could hear the man still shouting at her, which soon faded away into the background noise of the street vendors shouting out their wares and other people talking as they walked through the street.

[Y/N] used to have some vision in her right eye, her left was completely dark, when she was younger but after a horrible incident involving boiling tea, a undead aunt, and her rather cold and unloving father she could no longer see anything.

It was unfortunate yes, but [Y/N]'s other senses has significantly improved.

Which is why she could hear the person following her. They were good; extremely quiet and extremely hard to hear through all this noise. [Y/N] didn't like going out where there was going to be a lot of people. All the noise made it harder for her to find her way and if she stayed for too long she would get really confused and turned around. It was overall not fun and embarrassing for her (at least in her opinion it was).

[Y/N] paused. The persons footsteps also stopped.

It was hard to tell if they wanted to fight, rob, or just stalk her.

Guess she'd find out. (Her self preservation skills deteriorated by the day.)

[Y/N] turned into a nearby alleyway or at least she hoped it was that. The lack of warm against her skin gave her some sort of sense.

She heard the footsteps come closer. She figured the person was blocking the exit to the alley.

"You just walked away from him."

A man then. Around her age.

"Why are you following me?"

He hummed. "Curiosity."

"Curiosity or not. It's not very polite to follow a woman around. Especially if you don't know her."

"I've been told I'm not a very polite person." She had a feeling he was shrugging.

Maybe she should learn those self preservation skills.

"So?"

"So what?"

"So, why'd you walk away from him? You talk about being polite yet you didn't even spare him a glance."

"I didn't feel like dealing with him. It wasn't even my fault." [Y/N] couldn't stop the bitter note from slipping into her tone. It really wasn't her fault. She was blind for Xie Lian's sake! She couldn't see him even if she wanted to (which honestly she didn't).

"Not your fault?" She could hear the smirk in his voice. It irritated her. She already didn't like him.

"No."

He didn't talk for a long while after her answer. And [Y/N] dared to hope that maybe he had left. But then he spoke again and her hopes came crashing down.

"Will you not even turn around and face me?"

[Y/N]'s sharp hearing picked up the sharp sound of a weapon being drawn.

She spun around, drawing her own sword from where it had been hidden on her person, and knocked the weapon out of his hand and sent it flying off somewhere to the side. She could feel the stunned silence surrounding them.

"I'm blind, you idiot." [Y/N] hissed. Her hazy [E/C] eyes were for all to see. She didn't bother hiding them with cloth or trying to shield her face with her [H/C] hair. She let the arm holding her sword drop.

"But I'll tell you one thing," she raised the arm holding her sword again and swung the blade inches from his nose. "My other senses are incredibly good."

[Y/N] moved it so her sword was know pressed against his neck. "I don't usually kill, but you might just make me break that rule."

She could hear the smirk loudly from his tone alone, "I've been told by many that I'm extremely attractive and irritating. That I make people go against things they've believed in and held themselves too for years."

"I'm going to slit your throat." She glared at him despite not being able to actually see him. "And leave you to bleed out."

"Oh that sounds like a lovely time," he purred. [Y/N] felt him move closer to her and she pressed the sword harder against his neck, drawing blood.

He grabbed her sword with one hand, pushing it away from his a throat slightly, and used the other hand to grab the hand holding the sword handle. He pulled her closer until their bodies were flush against each other.

[Y/N] couldn't stop her breath from hitching.

From the smugness filling his voice, he noticed it too. "But at least take me to dinner first."

"I don't even know your name." She gritted her teeth. He grated her nerves to an extreme she didn't even know was possible.

"Xue Yang; don't forget it pet."

She felt a light tap on her nose before he was gone.

[Y/N] figured she wouldn't be coming to town for a long while.
