Chapter 2 Pendulum Explanation

After Yuya's stunning victory over Strong Ishijima, news of the new summoning method spread like wildfire. All across Maiami City, duelists and curious spectators flocked to You Show Duel School, eager to catch a glimpse of the legendary Pendulum Summon.

But inside the school, the atmosphere was far from celebratory. The crowd pressed outside the gates, demanding answers, while the students struggled to keep order.

Yet the stars of the show—Yuya and Yuni—were nowhere to be found.

Only Shuzo knew their whereabouts, and no matter how much anyone asked, he folded his arms and refused to say a word.

Yuzu sighed in frustration, tapping her foot against the floor. "Where are Yuya and Yuni? Without them, this place is falling apart!"

Ryu crossed his arms, frowning. "And Dad won't tell us a thing. He's being stubborn as always... but what worries me most is that only Yuya has those Pendulum Cards."

Inside the Leo Corporation headquarters, Yuya and Yuni sat in their office, rewatching the duel on the screen—the moment when the world first witnessed the Pendulum Summon.

A knock sounded at the door. Moments later, Akaba Reiji entered.

"Reiji," Yuni greeted him. "You've come."

Reiji's gaze shifted to the screen. "Pendulum Summoning... How come I never heard about this project before?"

Yuya answered honestly. "We only acquired the method last night. Our Pendants glowed, and our cards changed on their own. Zarc, Zarine, and Reisho's work are behind it. Speaking of which... will Reisho return to Standard today?"

"I haven't heard from him yet," Reiji replied. "But with this method appearing so suddenly, I'm certain he will return soon."

"You don't need to wait days—I'm already here."

The voice came from the doorway. A young man with gray hair stepped inside, about Yuya and Yuni's age, bearing a resemblance to Reiji.

"Reisho!" Yuni rushed forward and hugged him. "Why are you here?"

"I received a message from my monsters," Reisho explained. "They told me you unlocked your deck's Pendulum Energies. I never expected you'd reveal the method to the crowd so soon."

Yuya sighed. "Zarc and Zarine believed that since it's been three years since our father went to Fusion, it was time. They unlocked it for us. I assume your deck has Pendulum Monsters too?"

Reisho smirked. "It does. But hiding them from my father is a burden. I don't want Pendulum Summon becoming a weapon for people who'd use it to hurt others."

Yuya and Yuni frowned. They knew well about the four dimensions—and about Akaba Leo's army of Fusion Dimension duelists, all for the sake of reviving Akaba Ray.

"Speaking of your father, Reisho," Yuya said carefully. "Ray has awakened... inside Yuzu."

Reisho's eyes widened. "Really? Then she is within Yuzu. I was worried. Zarc and Zarine were confirmed inside you two, but Ray's whereabouts were unclear."

Reiji adjusted his glasses. "Am I to assume then... Ray is my half-sister? The one my father cherishes most?"

Reisho nodded solemnly. "Sad, but true. I want to talk to her about everything that's happened these past years. But before that, we must focus on Pendulum Summon."

Yuya placed four cards on the table: Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Dark Rebellion Phantom Dragon, Clear Wing Wind Dragon, and Starve Venom Predator Dragon.
