"Neel", Riya called out. "Yes, Riya"? "If it's your lunch break, shall we go to the café down the road". "Sure, I'm actually done for the day", Rudra told her.
"That's great then, my schedule for today is over as well". Riya got on his bike. They reached the café. "I will have the Carbonara. You, Riya"?
"Oh, I'll have the same", Riya said. The waiter left, taking their orders. "So are you from here", Rudra asked.
"Yes, but this place always reminded me of something I wanted to forget. So I moved to Mumbai but it's time for me to face reality you know. My grandparents are getting old, and I need to be here as their grandchild to support them", her voice broke.
The waiter interrupted them and placed the plates on the table. "What about you, any girlfriend"? Rudra smiled as he ate his spaghetti, "I don't have any girlfriend but I have a wife".
The fork from Riya's hand slipped. "You didn't tell me you are married"? "Arrey, these past weeks we were just talking about school work".
Riya nodded and ate her food. "What does she do"? "She's a journalist in 24/7 news". "That's nice", she mumbled, looking at his ring.
After they were done, Rudra dropped her off at her house and went home.

"Ya, I do. Any problem", Siddharth asked her in concern. "No, I was just asking", Ruthira smiled, sipping on her tea. "Do you smoke", he mumbled as he placed a stick inbetween his lips.
Ruthira shook her head, "never felt the need to". "Do you want to try", he chuckled while placing the box on the table. Ruthira had seen Rudra smoke occasionally. She never understood what pleasure he got from that and chided him whenever possible.
"Yes", she took the box in her hand and pulled out a stick. "Lighter", she asked stretching her hand towards Siddharth. "Are you serious"?
Ruthira hummed, taking the lighter from him. She placed it between her lips and lit it up. "Take a deep breath with your mouth and then let it go", he guided her.
Ruthira took a deep breath. "Cough! Cough"! A series of coughs escaped her mouth. "Oh shit", Siddharth stood up and rubbed her back.
"I'm fine", she assured him. "It happens on the first time", he laughed. She looked at the stick again and brought it to her mouth. This time, she confidently took a deep breath. "There you go", he cheered as she puffed out the smoke.
"I can definitely see why it's addictive", she mumbled, taking another puff. "Gosh, I can't anymore. I need to wash my mouth", Ruthira claimed, scrunching her nose.
"Give that to me, I'll extinguish it", he took the stick from her. He looked at her all the way, till she entered the restroom. Bringing his hand forward, he took a puff from her stick.
