Ruthira sat on the couch, numbed. Clutching her hair, she took deep breaths and closed her eyes wishing it was a dream. However, opening her eyes she realised it was not a dream but a nightmare.
With her shaky hands, she picked up the object on the table and stared at it. "No! No! Please no", she whispered as tears made its way down her cheeks.

She fisted her hands tightly as she looked at her stomach. Picking her phone up she called Yeshna. "She's pregnant", she mumbled to herself and ended the call.
Looking around she saw Butter lying down in a corner. "Butter, come here please", Ruthira stretched her hands out. Immediately, he ran towards her and leaped on her.
"I don't know what to do. I'm stuck Butter". Her sobs scared Butter, who was trying to calm her down. "I can't tell him now. I can't. Maybe when I'm clear of what I want then I will. I just want to sleep".
Carrying Butter in her arms, she walked to the room and settled on the bed. She hugged Butter tightly, "I'm sorry, Rudra".
When Rudra came home after an hour, he woke her up for dinner. However she denied saying she was tired, leaving him to eat dinner alone.
Understanding that she might have had a tiring day, he didn't disturb her further. He ate some toast and marked the assignments he had. After he was done, he called it a day and slept at the corner of the bed as Butter had occupied his space.

Ruthira was sitting in the cafeteria waiting for Andrea to meet her. In the morning, she left the house while Rudra was still sleeping. She didn't know how to face him and thus left a massage instead.
"Hello", Andrea squealed, hugging Ruthira. "Hi", she responded with a small smile. "What's up", Andrea asked while drinking Ruthira's coffee. "I'm pregnant".
Andrea chocked on the coffee and stared at her in shock. "Are you for real"? Ruthira nodded to her question. "OH MY GOD! I'M SO HAPPY! AHHHHH! WE NEED TO CELEBRATE IT! DOES YOUR HUSBAND KNOW", Andrea shouted in excitement.
She stood up and hugged Ruthira who was sitting opposite to her. When she received no response, she pulled out from the hug and looked at Ruthira in confusion.
Ruthira looked at her with tears welled up in her eyes. Andrea's eyes widened, "you are not happy with the pregnancy". She hugged Andrea tightly and cried.
"I- I don't feel ready, Andy. This is what I was always fearing of. It's been only four months since the wedding. I'm trying to adjust to my current life and now a baby will make it difficult.
I'm not in the state to welcome a baby now, Andy. I don't know how to tell him. He always wanted kids and my decision is going to break him".
"Shh! Calm down", Andrea rubbed her back. "I know it's going to be hard but you have to tell him, Aaru. As much as it's your baby, it's his as well. Talk to him, I'm sure he will listen to you".
