Days passed and Ruthira was now in her fourth month. As promised, Rudra was always there to help her. Her bump was slightly visible now but only if one looked at it closely.
Rudra made sure she ate healthy everyday. He made sure to fulfill every craving of hers. Though initially he was disgusted by what she craved, he grew immune to it.
Some of her cravings included vanilla ice cream with chilli sauce, mayonnaise on its own, lemon, chalk, sweet potato with maple syrup and fried fish.
Ruthira hated fish with her whole life but fish was something she needed everyday now because unlike her, Rudra loved fish.
"NO", Rudra screamed and sat up on the bed. He was panting heavily and sweat beads were all over his forehead. "Rudra", Ruthira mumbled and turned the bedside lamp on.
"Rudra, gosh! What happened", she exclaimed, sitting next to him. Rudra pulled her into a deep hug and stuffed his face in her chest. "I- I dreamt something really bad. I don't even want to talk about it", he said.
"Okay, okay. It's okay, it's just a dream. Everything's fine", she rubbed his back. Rudra pulled out from the hug and went to take a shower.
When he was done showering, he saw Ruthira had also gotten ready by using the common toilet. She was applying the liquid vermillion on her hair parting. After the whole Siddharth fiasco, she was scared.
She didn't want anyone pointing fingers at her. No matter who's at fault, a woman's integrity is always questioned first. She doesn't know if anyone had heard their conversation that day, but she clearly didn't want a rumour to spread in the place she worked.
"Ruthira, can you not go to work today", Rudra said softly. He stood behind her and combed his hair. "Why"? "I- I dreamt something was happening to you and the baby, Ruthira. Call me paranoid but I just want to be safe".
"It's my presentation today Rudra, I can't take leave at last minute", she guilty looked at him. Rudra nodded and looked down to hide his tears from her.
"I promise to be safe. I'll call you every hour, to keep you updated. I will end at 4 today, after that I'll come home straight", she wiped his tears. "No, I will take half day. I'll pick you up", he said.
"Sure. It's a dream, Rudra. Don't think too much okay"? "Yeah", Rudra nodded and continued getting ready.

"So, this way the coverage won't just be on the conditions of living but also the issues they are going through because of that. Any questions"?
"Ma'am, are we going to lubricate things up or just leave it as it is", Shanaya asked. "What do you think? Lubricating things makes audience interested while leaving the facts as it is means only truth. What do you want, audience or truth".
Ruthira leaned against the table with hands crossed, waiting for Shanaya. "I personally will go for the truth ma'am". "Why"? "As a journalist, people are depending on me to find them updates on things that are happening around the world.
