"Butter is back"! Yeshna screamed when Rudra brought a bandaged husky in. "Oh my god, where is he? It's been so long since I met him", an even excited Ruthira squealed.
Butter leapt out of Rudra's arms and went towards Ruthira. "I wob uhh", he whined. "Awww, Kanna. I love you too", Ruthira replied as she rubbed Butter's belly. (An endearment)
"Oh wow! The anti-social Butter has a friend", questioned a surprised Rudra. "Bhai, remember I told you my friend found Butter when he was a puppy two years ago, in the dustbin? It's Aaru", Yeshna replied.
Rudra looked at Ruthira who was only focused on Butter. "Why did she give him to you"?
"Well, she did bring Butter home but her brother was scared of dogs. So she called me to take care of him or find him a home. She was the one who named him Butter", Yeshna smiled, noticing how Rudra was staring at her friend.
She shook her head, looking at the time. "Aaru, quick! Didn't you say you were meeting Aran at ten"?
"Oh shit yes, thanks for reminding. I'll go take my bag", Ruthira said before she climbed up the stairs. "She's leaving today", Rudra asked resulting in Yeshna to nod her head.
"Ma, Pa, I'm leaving now. Thanks for having me over. Take care of yourselves and call me regularly", Ruthira said. "Shaswat, I wonder if we are the oldies or Aaru's the oldy". "Yes Maitra, plus I didn't know we had a guest over that she is thanking us for staying", Shaswat replied, annoyed.
"Okay, sorry. Old habits die hard". "I understand, beta but this is like your second home. You are always invited to stay here, so don't make us feel like outsiders by thanking us". Ruthira nodded with a smile.
Shaswat continued, "also never keep quiet when someone does anything bad to you. Even if they are our family friend". Her smile faded with her widened eyes. She snapped her head towards a shocked Rudra. "H- How"?
"My stupid son thought that just because he had brought Akash to the police, the case would be closed. But he forgot that they need your statement. My friend Prakash called me in the morning saying a case has been filed yesterday night and this address was given. When I asked more he revealed how it was filled by Neel. Do you not trust us, Beta, that you did not inform us anything"?
"I just didn't want to create any problems", Ruthira replied as her voice broke. Shaswat pulled her in for a hug, "Aaru, you and Yeshna are no different to Maitra and I. Do you think I would have kept quiet if this had happened with Yeshu"? Ruthira shook her head sideways.
"Then why do you think it was okay for you to stay quiet. Remember, no one has the rights to harass someone. Never keep such important things from us again". "Yes Aaru, you are our daughter, don't think you will burden us with such things. Okay", Maitra added.
"Yes, Ma. I won't do this again", Ruthira said while hugging both Maitra and Shaswat. "Me too. Me too", Yeshna said as she joined the group. "Bhai, carry Butter and join us".
Rudra did exactly what Yeshna said. He carried the big fluffy boy in his arms as he joined the family hug. He stretched his free arm and draped it behind Yeshna's shoulder who was on his left.
His fingers slightly brushed Ruthira's shoulder. She looked at him with a grateful smile and mouthed a 'thank you' while Rudra smiled back at her.
"Aaru, you have to go to the station to submit your statement. You are meeting Araneesh right, go with him", Shaswat said. "Okay, I'll leave now."
After sending off Ruthira, Rudra questioned Yeshna, "who's Araneesh"? Yeshna inwardly smirked while maintaining a confused face, "I'm not so sure. Why"? "What is he to her"!

Ruthira's POV
I don't know what's happening to me. He is taking over my mind. The way we look at each other, smile at each other. We almost kissed! Thank god for Yeshna if not I have no idea how I would face him again.
After Avyan, I didn't want anyone in my life. But I feel like slowly, my heart is making way for someone else. Agh! I'm going crazy!

"Okay class, that's it for today. Remember the new formation by heart. Priya, Naina, Aaruthira and Jhanvi, don't forget the programme has been postponed till further notice", the dance guru said.
"Okay ma'am", the girls said as they did their namaskaram. One by one, they touched their teacher's feet and left.
After the girls got out of the dance academy, some started walking towards the bus stop to get home. "Oh no, I needed to get oil and fruits. I think you guys go first, I'll go to the supermarket near the mall", Jhanvi said.
"It's no problem for me, I'll follow you. Anyways I have nothing to do", Keerthika said. "Yeah, me too. I don't mind tagging along. Even I have a few things to buy", Ruthira added.
The three of them took another bus that led them to the supermarket. Keerthika who wanted to 'accompany', eventually wanted some things as well. Thus, they split up and took what they wanted.
