"Ruthira, bachaa listen to me", Rudra walked behind Ruthira. "Rudra, just because we don't celebrate Karwa Chauth, doesn't mean we are not used to fasting", she mumbled.
"Okay then, I will do it too". Ruthira looked at him and gave a bored look. "Is anyone holding your hands? If you love me, you will fast".
Rudra chuckled, pulling her to his lap as he sat on the couch. "Woof! Aluuu"! "This boy will never let me spend time with my wife", he whispered, snuggling into her neck.
Butter started crying, "Aluuu, I wob uh"! "Stop it", Ruthira pushed him away and held her hands out. In a go, Butter jumped on her.
"Easy buddy", she rubbed his head. "Butter, I want kisses too", Rudra whined. "Nuh", Butter snapped. "How dare you", Rudra looked at him with widened eyes. Ruthira laughed as he pinned Butter to him and kissed all over his head.

All the ladies were sitting in the living room, listening to the story Rudra's grandmother was reciting. Since it was Yeshna and Ruthira's first Karwa Chauth after marriage, Maitra decided to organise the pooja at her house this year.
"The moon is out", an overexcited Abhi shouted. All of them went to the terrace to end their fast. "You look ravishing in this red saree", Rudra whispered into Ruthira's ears. She smiled at him and followed the rest of the ladies.
With Maitra and Aditi's guidance, Ruthira and Yeshna offered the water to the moon. They then saw the moon through the sieve and turned it towards their respective husbands.
Rudra picked up the glass of water from the plate she was holding and forwarded it to Ruthira, followed by the sweet. Ruthira bent down to touch his leg, but was stopped by him.
"I thought I said no touching of leg", Rudra said with a frown. Chuckling, she fed him the sweet and water. Just as she was about to turn, she saw him touching her leg.
She raised an eyebrow to which he replied that he could touch her leg but not the other way round. "Hurry, touch my leg"! Everyone laughed seeing Yeshna demanding Abhijeet to touch her leg.
"Okay, what gifts do the both of you have for your wife", Sheela asked. "Well, I bought my wife a necklace which she has been eyeing for months", Rudra replied.
He pulled out a Cartier jewellery box from his back pocket. Ruthira gasped as he opened the box. "This- why- it's expensive Rudra". Rudra shrugged, "nothing is expensive when it comes to you. Even if I can't afford it, I'll try my best".
All awed as Rudra helped Ruthira clasp the necklace. "This is my gift". He opened the paper bag to see an iPhone. "This is what you call expensive", he mumbled taking the phone out.
"You guys should have seen his phone. It has cracks and there's a black line running across the screen", Ruthira rolled her eyes. "Thank you", both of them hugged.
