Rudra was in his class when he received a call from Madavh that Ruthira had been injured. Quickly taking a half day leave, he rushed to the hospital.

When he reached, he saw Madavh, Rahul and his wife having an argument. "Aaru, she's not a toy. Think properly before you talk", Madavh snapped in frustration.

"Ruthira, oh god! Are you okay", Rudra mumbled as he cupped her cheeks. "How did this happen", he gestured towards the plaster on her forehead.

"Rudra, you will support my decision right? Tell them I'm serious. I want her, Rudra", Ruthira clutched his shirt in her fist and broke down.

Rudra stood cluelessly looking at Rahul who gestured him to step aside for a moment. "I'll be back, bachaa", he pecked her forehead and went aside with Rahul.

"Your wife found a baby on the site they had went for investigation. The baby is an orphan so we have to bring her to the orphanage.

But Aaru had filled up the form as the baby's mother and now she's saying she wants the baby and that she's her daughter". Rudra turned and looked at Ruthira who was looking inside the NICU through the hole on the glass door.

"Neel, make her understand. We have already called the Orphanage, and they'll be here in 10 minutes. Bring her home before that", Rahul patted his shoulder.

"Ruthira, come let's go", Rudra wrapped his hand over her shoulders. "What are you talking, Rudra. I'm not leaving without bringing her", she glared at him.

His heart clenched when he saw how red her eyes were. "We need to go for now. The baby needs rest". She reluctantly agreed and went home with him.

"Rudra, it's been a day. Shall we go see her"? Rudra sighed, placing the plate infront of her. "Ruthira, the baby is not ours. We can't have her".

Ruthira chuckled while cutting the waffle on her plate, "stop joking, Rudra. I- I've signed the papers, right? We are her parents". "No, we are not! Just because you signed that form doesn't mean we are her parents".

Ruthira's eyes started tearing as her voice broke, "we- we can still-".

"The people from the orphanage have already taken the baby under their care. She will get her parents eventually", Rudra snapped but soon regretted after seeing her broken face.

"Yo- you lied to me? Why? Why wo- would you do that", her voice chocked. "Bach-". "NO! DON'T TOUCH ME"! She sprang up from the chair and ran to their room. Rudra pinched the bridge of his nose.

Two hours had passed but Ruthira was still locking herself in the room. "Ruthira, open the door. Please, let's talk". He received no response from her.

"If you don't open the door, I'm going to break it"! Click! She unlocked the door and went back to the balcony and sat hugging her legs.

"Why are you doing this, bachaa? You are hurting me", Rudra tried cupping her face. Ruthira pushed his hands, sniffing. "I didn't mean to lie, but I had no choice. You weren't leaving".
