Chapter Seventy-Eight

"We had to force you to come out with us, we are your best girlfriends Adelita! You can't just spend all your time with Armin." Sasha begins to scold me as I begin to tie my hair up, the heat too hot for it to continue to lay on my shoulders.

"Say the same to Mikasa then, she stays with Eren all day."

Sasha rolls her eyes, "that's different."

"Well, I just want to spend the most of what we have with the love of my life. We never know what's in the future." Sasha again rolls her eyes while she hits Mikasa to do the same.

"What about us?! We can die just as fast as Armin can." She argues back. I raise my hand to shut her up. "Fine, I promise I will spend more time with my best girlfriends."

"What can Armin do that we can't?!" Sasha exclaims being as dramatic as before.

A slight smile comes onto my face. "Fuck me."

Both Mikasa and Sasha stop, laughter fills the area as I can't help but laugh at their expressions. "You're disgusting, Adelita," Mikasa states as Sasha begins to fake vomit.

"And I bet if we were men, we could please not even the same as Armin, but better." I shake my head disagreeing with Sasha's statement.

"Have you guys done that?" She questions as silence has just found its way back to us.

"Yeah, tons of times. Isn't that what couples do? Isn't it what you and Niccolo would do right, Mikasa and Eren too?"

Now it's Mikasa's turn to change red, she pushes me as she didn't think what I said was funny.

"I'm not dating Niccolo, and I do not like him!"

"Eren and I are only friends."

I roll my eyes at both of their delusional claims, they both know they want more. I'm happy Armin and I have come out of that stage, It's better to quickly confess the way you feel than to sit there and play oblivious.

"Why won't you guys just admit it, there's nothing bad that can come from it as you know both of them feel the same way you both do." I ridicule them, but neither Sasha nor Mikasa wants to hear it.

Finally, I choose to drop it, they aren't taking this seriously at all. "Well, whenever it does happen. I'll be the biggest supporter of all you guys."

"It'll happen whenever you leave Armin."

I laugh as I hit Sasha's back. "That day will only come when I die. And I'm not planning on it anytime soon, so I guess we'll never see you guys at your peak." I state staring at Sasha as I reference her and Niccolo.

"Remember when all you wanted to do was die?" Mikasa asks, she doesn't stop there though.

"You've come a long way Adelita. I remember how quiet and sad you were. I'm glad you've changed."

I nod thinking back on those days, the days when it was so bad I just followed Annie mindlessly and prayed for a titan to come and devour me. "Time does change people, but it's also their environment. Definitely."

My hands stretch out to reach for both of their hands.

"If I hadn't met you guys I wouldn't like to think where I would be. I would probably be even more unhappy than I was when I got here, we grew into the right people."

Sasha nods agreeing. "I don't know how many times I had you guys save my ass!"

"Yeah, without me both of you would've been dead or miserable." Mikasa jokes but I go with it, actually agreeing with her playful banter.
