Reader's POV

I was stuck. 20 cops in front of me and a fallen cupboard behind me, blocking my way. Besides, the angry man behind the cupboard looked way stronger than these 20 cops combined.

I scanned the room, it's ceiling was waaaaay above. On my right side were huge shelves with stuff stacked on them. There was no other way then. I rushed towards the shelves and climbed onto them as the cops who were desperate to catch me did the same. As they started climbing, I pulled out the hooks on the shelves that supported the shelves that they were standing on. Though I understood what I had to do, I hoped that I accidentally wouldn't pull out the hook supporting the shelf that I was standing on.

I proceeded to climb the shelves and make the cops fall down until I reached the top shelf. There were about 7 still after me. I reached the railing of the next floor and hauled myself up, pulling out the final hook that dismantled the entire shelf and then, got to the other side of the railing and finally set my foot on solid ground. I sighed in short-lived relief as I turned around to see Shorty no. 1 popping out of one of the two passageways that led to here, gun in his hand, panting.

"You're crazy," he muttered as I thought about how deep and hot his voice was.

"I know," I panted silently.

"Hand over the diamond," he continued.

"You know what," I asked, "How do I know that you'll keep it safe? For all I know, you could be the bad guy and I could be the bad girl," I raised my eyebrow. C'mon, I'm busy, lemme go.

"Hand over the diamond," he repeated, "Or I'll shoot."

"Fine," I lied as I unbuckled the black bag from my waist, waiting for a distraction.

"Captain!" I heard Shorty no. 2's voice behind me, which distracted Shorty no. 1. I hit Shorty no. 1's hand with my bag. His gun flew out of his hand. I grabbed it before it hit the ground and Shorty no. 1 ran toward me, knocking us both out of the now broken window.

We both flew out of the window as I pocketed his gun midair. When falling, both of us clutched onto the design linings of the building, side by side.

I looked down, there was a stall underneath us, just to the right a little bit but, the shed was sure to bounce me off.

Apparently, he predicted what I was about to do and tried to grab me, my bag more importantly. I tried to break free but I couldn't. The only physical thing I'm good at is running. In terms of strength, I have no strength or rather, little strength, compared to this guy at the very least.

I had only one option left now, ask for help.

"To my lord and savior, Eren Yeager," I began, "Please aid me in order to attain true freedom."

"Wha-?" He began before a group of birds suddenly flew toward him and attacked him. I broke free and shifted toward my right, dangling off the building, glad that as always my trick worked.

"Bye, Captain," I murmured as I jumped. I bounced off as I calculated and was sworn at by the stall owner who was clearly not understanding what was going on. I just ignored him and ran toward the road to find a means of escape.

I ran ahead a bit, knowing full well that they had backup which might be following me right now. I ran across the road, earning curses from various drivers. I looked back to see Shorty no. 1 jumping onto the shed, breaking it in the process, immediately getting up and running towards me.

I ran ahead faster and saw a biker taking a break. I sprinted toward him as he stood up from his bench. I grabbed his helmet which was resting on his bike and handed it to him while he looked at me in confusion. "Sorry," I whispered underneath my breath, sat on the bicycle, handed the biker some solitaire and pedaled forward. This was my only option right now. I looked back again and saw Shorty no. 1 get into the car which was standing in front of the museum for advertisement purposes. It was a beautiful, black Bugatti Veyron which would catch up with me in no time. Why didn't I see it instead?

I sped off ahead, desperate for a car when I got another amazing idea. I pulled out Shorty no. 1's gun out of my pocket and held it in my hand, looking for the right moment.

I pedaled faster until I reached a road crossing, Shorty no. 1 and his backup on my tail. Thankfully, it was the red light right at that moment. I biked right in front of a car on the front line, dropping the bike in the corner, walking back in front of it and pointing the gun at the driver.

"Get out!" was all I said, there was only one person in the car. A beautiful blonde woman with blue eyes. She came out, slightly panicked, her hands in the air.

"The cops will handle the damage to your car, if any because catching me was their responsibility," I told her, getting in the blue Bugatti EB 110 , "Sorry but I need your car to escape."

She nodded, "I follow you on Instagram," she told me, "I know who you are. There are a lot of dead ends if you go left so go right."

"Thanks," I said as I closed the door, opened the window and handed her some pieces of alexandrite for her car and drove off. I knew she wasn't lying. I've been researching this area for a month. And also, I think I recognized her from my follower list as I was randomly looking at my followers that day. Historia, was it? What a nice person, even after I took her car. I feel guilty now but I know she's not going to be at a loss. The police department will have to compensate her and besides, I just did.

I drove as fast as I could, not caring that the red light was still on and neither did the cops, they followed after me with their sirens and lights on. I turned right, driving zig zag in attempts to confuse the cops. I almost crashed the car multiple times but still continued anyway, believing in my driving skills. My car or rather, Historia's car didn't crash but multiple cars of the cops did end up crashing, to the point where it was just the Bugatti Veyron following me. I drove ahead, quickening the speed of the car when I saw a bridge straight ahead. I drove on to it since it was the only road. What I didn't notice were the cop cars blocking the way ahead.

So, straight ahead I have the way blocked by cops, behind me in the Shorty no. 1 who is extremely strong, which I deciphered when he tried to grab my bag and the birds were only able to stop him for a little while.

I've been in this situation before, earlier today actually. Cops ahead, another cop behind with titan strength. I still found a way, the shelves.

What is the way now?

I'm on a bridge.

Wait, I'm on a bridge.

I'M ON A FRICKING BRIDGE!

UNDERNEATH IS WATER!

I JUST HAVE TO GO DOWN!

IN THE WATER!

I MIGHT DIE!

BUT, I DON'T CARE!

I have to go down!

The question is, with or without the car?

I'm going without the car. I don't want Historia to be disappointed in me and I don't want to ruin the car. Plus, it'll be a good distraction. And, the good thing is that I can swim.

I stopped at the middle of the bridge, in the corner and every car around me hit their brakes harshly so as to not crash. I rushed out of the car and looked around. I wasn't near enough to see the cops' faces. If I saw anything significant, it was the Bugatti Veyron had stopped because of the jam and Shorty no. 1 was rushing toward me, at what you would call his full speed. I showed him my middle finger and tongue to annoy him, clutched onto my bag and jumped. I might die, might as well insult the cause.

I felt the wind around and oh the feeling was amazing while it lasted before I hit the cold water, head first. I know that I said that I can swim but the last time I did that was years ago.

Will I survive this?

A/N = Yes, you will survive this because I can't exactly kill the MC in the second chapter.
