Reader's POV

"Ugh!" I complained to no one in particular when that extremely loud noise of the metal bar that the guards carried, hitting the door of the cell a few times to wake the prisoners up to shower and then eat before we were sent to work, met my ears the first thing in the fucking morning when I woke up.

I sat myself up slightly and grumbled, grateful that I didn't bump my head on the frame of the bunk above mine as I looked at Levi who was already ready and set to leave and while I looked at him, I realised that he could see my face and so I grabbed my mask from the side table and put it on.

"What the? When did you get up?" I questioned, groggily rubbing my eyes with my hands that were curled up as fists.

"I didn't sleep," Levi turned to me with his eye bags looking heavier than ever.

Why does he look even sexier?

"Why?" I got up from my bunk, being careful as to not bump my head on the bunk frame.

"None of your business."

"Ugh," I complained again before making a request, "If you're awake anyway then can you wake me up a few minutes before now? I don't like waking up because of that loud noise. It's worse than an alarm or my phone waking me because of one of my brother's calls because the ringer was on because they would kill me if I didn't pick up their calls."

"First of all, no. I am not waking you up because you are not helping me. And second of all, when I do get out of here, I'm going to use the information that you have brothers to capture you once and for all."

"Aw, I thought we were work wives now!"

But it doesn't really matter because, one, he isn't getting out of here without my help and two, they're not related to me by blood or on paper so he can't track them down and my real brother has been gone forever for years.

"Isabel would be hurt to know that you are cheating on her," Levi joked in his thick French accent.

"Oh right. She's my wife," I remembered, "She called you her older brother, right? Then that means that we're in laws"

Levi glared at me and was about to send a death threat my way before the door of the cell opened to reveal two guards that were here to escort us both to separate shower rooms for men and women.

Once I was in the female shower room, I chose the shower at the back to use. There were only a few females put in this prison, because this was originally meant to be only a male prison until some female prisoners that were desperately needed to be secured were brought here due to this castle like building being on high terrain surrounded by an abyss that was surrounded by icy mountains where it snowed almost all the time. Since there was no one around me, I didn't have to worry about exposing my skin since no one could see me.

After showering, I was escorted to the dining hall where we would have a sorry excuse of a breakfast but I wouldn't really mind it today because I had something on my mind already since last night.

I had a match to make.

I had a broken couple to reunite.

I joyously entered the dining hall as no one paid any mind to me except for an angry serial killer who glared at me from one of the seats before I grabbed a plate, and put it in front of me as a prisoner on lunch duty poured some food for me and I sat down with Kenny.

"This is bad," Was the first thing Kenny said when I sat down.

"What's bad?"

"Nothin' can turn out good with that look on yer face."

"What do you mean?" I couldn't stop smiling like an idiot.

"I mean-" Kenny was interrupted by me as I stood up from my seat and waved at a confused Levi who was probably wondering where to sit. Upon seeing me, Levi turned around to sit somewhere else before I went to him, grabbed his arm and pulled him or rather, tried to because no matter how much I tried to pull him, he wouldn't even budge.

"What is it, brat?"

"I've got something to show you! Come on!"

"No."

"You won't regret it! I promise!"

"No."

"Please."

"No."

"Come on!"

"No."

I pouted, very upset that I might not be able to fulfil my role as the next Cupid of this world when I couldn't even be a small scale matchmaker.

"I'll give you half of my breakfast."

"No."

"And dinner too!" I offered.

"No."

"As well as tomorrow's meals!"

"No."

"Give me a different answer!"

"No."

Levi looked at me boredly as I could feel Kenny's gaze on the back of my head and I could see that he was extremely confused on what the hell was going on and why I wasn't launching myself at my breakfast today and instead was occupied with this stranger when he knew that I hated the entire human race.

"I'll give you the whitener to go with the pen," I didn't give up.

"I don't make mistakes."

"Fine," I brought out the big guns or in this case, knives as I agreed to part with the stylish knife with sharp thorns that came out when it was opened that Porco had given me when he heard that I was going to go meet Mikasa, "I'll give you my knife."

Levi's eyes shined at the thought of having a knife as a weapon to protect himself in a dangerous place like this maximum security prison and he immediately made that deal with me that in exchange for my knife, he would have all meals while sitting with me and my friend.

Well, whatever. Porco will make me a new one since he's good at welding and all. And besides, I don't think that Levi will ask for it once I provide him with the real gem.

"Who's that?" Kenny questioned me as Levi sat down with his tray next to me.

Now it all makes sense. Kenny's French. Levi's French. Kenny's said husband is French. Levi's a police officer. Kenny's husband is a police officer. Levi's younger than Kenny. Kenny's husband is younger than Kenny.

"Well," I nodded in understanding as I talked out loud, "It makes sense that you two don't recognize each other. It has been 27 years after all."

But hold on, Levi does look younger than Kenny but he looks really really really young and not like the minor age gap Kenny talked about. He looks like he's 20 but Kenny was arrested 27 years ago.

Levi sure looks really young for his age. It makes sense now why he is a captain since no 20 year old could get that position at that age. Now it makes sense how Levi behaves. He looks young but he has the heart of an old man and that is because he is old. And his eyebags make sense since old people get that. Old people are grumpy and uncooperative too. But what doesn't make sense is how the hell he manages to look younger than me, how he can jump over cars and is in that physical condition despite being quite aged and why was Isabel calling him 'Big Bro'. I know for sure that she is young because of her looks and her personality but because of the age gap, shouldn't she be calling him grandpa instead?

"What the hell do you mean, brat?"

"What do I mean?" I got ready to make the match, "I mean that you two are married, that's all."

A/N = School sucks.
