Levi's POV

"Everyone ready?" I asked for confirmation as everyone nodded as we finally boarded the flight. All the security checking had been done and we were barely on time. We were taking our guns with us as cops so we had to spend a lot of time showing proof for our mission since it wasn't everyday that cops traveled out of their jurisdiction to capture somebody.

I took a seat on the aisle seat, hoping that the one sitting beside me would be Furlan but it was...

Isabel.

"I'm so excited to be on a plane after so long!"

"I really wish that Furlan was beside me right now," I muttered, not wanting to sit next to someone who was going to puke near the landing time.

"Calm down, Isabel. Or you're going to be airsick again like last time," Furlan told her from the row ahead of us. He was sitting at the window seat and the seat beside him was empty.

I stood up to check where the rest of the squad was sitting. Behind me were Oluo and Petra and behind them were Eld and Gunther, all of them, chatting with each other. After checking, I sat back down.

This was going to be a long flight.

Everyone on the plane was asleep. Well, almost everyone. I couldn't sleep because of my insomnia despite knowing that I'd need more energy than usual to capture the target. I needed to fall asleep somehow, if I couldn't sleep by just laying here then I'd have to do this another way which is getting myself bored. But how? I was bored enough as it is and I didn't know what else I could do.

Maybe I should watch a movie.

I switched on the device in front of me. The one that was in the plane to watch movies or check how much time was left or something. I browsed French movies and there was nothing I wanted to watch in there. Right then, Furlan got me out of my thoughts.

"You're still awake?" he whispered.

"No," I replied sarcastically, "I'm sleeping."

"Don't wanna talk to me? Okay," he sat back down.

"Oi!" I whisper shouted.

"Come over here then," he said. I got up and sat beside him.

"Are you thinking about what day it is today?" He asked. It had been 12:00 a little while ago so I knew what he was talking about and I silently nodded.

"Are you sad that you won't be able to visit him today?" He asked and I nodded slowly and reluctantly. I didn't want anyone to know how I was feeling but without talking about it, I couldn't do my very best on this mission.

Furlan just looked at me with a sad look on his face as if he didn't know what to say. He was unhappy about it too. We were childhood friends, my father was like his own father to him and my mother was like his own mother. It was the same with Isabel. They just didn't show it so as to not make me feel worse than I already did.

"I don't know what to say," He admitted, "You know that I'm not good at making someone feel better by talking to them. That's something Petra's good at."

"I know," I sighed.

"Just get some rest," He told me, "They're looking at you from up there. They'd hate it if you cried."

"Tch, I'm not crying."

"Yes, you are," he tried to pinch my cheeks and succeeded before I slapped his hand away.
