Levi's POV

"What new information?" I asked Furlan, relieved that it would be something useful.

"'A' told us where our target would go this sunday. We need to get the permit for going to the U.S. and catching our target processed quickly. We'll catch her there."

"Would you like to calm down and elaborate?"

Furlan sighed, seeming fed up and I raised my eyebrow at that, upon seeing my irritation, he gave me the exact location and time she would be there.

"Anteiku Cafe, 5:00 p.m., Sunday," I asked, wanting to confirm.

"Yep!"

"What if it's a trap?" I asked, our target risked her life to escape with the diamond instead of going to prison and escaping from there as she does.

Furlan looked at me like I had gone insane, "Shouldn't we have thought about that the first time 'A' contacted us? It could have been meant as a distraction. Turns out, the information was correct. If we had taken action right then, we would still have the diamond. Besides, how could it be a trap, our target only knows how to escape. If it's to distract us from what's happening in France, only the Special Operations Squad should go there. We have trusted and strong comrades here to prevent anything bad from happening."

I chuckled, patting his hair. This is the first time that he has shown any interest in work.

"I'm proud of you."

"You know I'm not Isabel, right? I don't like head pats."

"Shut up, let me have my moment."

I withdrew my hand from Furlan's head and Isabel entered the office, a coffee crate in her hand which had three coffee cups containing tea.

"Oh, big bro! I was about to head to your office with your black tea," she said as she handed me my black tea and gave Furlan the same thing as she put the crate on Furlan's desk and proceeded to drink her own.

"Did you find out who the number belongs to?" she asked Furlan. Erwin and the entire Special Operations Squad must be aware of this.

"No," Furlan shook his head, "It's an American number so I can't get into their security. Levi, should we apply for the permit? If we don't do it now then I don't think that Erwin can get it to pass for this Sunday."

I nodded my head as a yes sign and Furlan proceeded to type into his computer. I had my doubts about this 'A' but it's not like we were getting anywhere without the information they gave us. If we returned without results then that would be bad but we should try at the very least.

"Big Bro," Isabel called and I looked towards her, "You've been looking more tired than usual these days. You okay?"

She must have been referring to what happened yesterday since I have never fallen asleep at work before and my stress these days must have been noticeable. I assured her that everything was fine and I felt exceptionally well rested at the time. Maybe she was also implying what date it was tomorrow.

"You sure man?" Furlan asked, "Your eyebags say otherwise."

"Like I said, I'm fine. A lot has been going on lately. Even now, we don't know if 'A' is credible and even if the information is true, whether we'll be successful in capturing our target."

Before Furlan could respond, there was a knock on the door and Furlan allowed entry to whoever was at the door. The door was opened by Petra, upon seeing her, Isabel scowled and Furlan chuckled at Isabel's reaction.

"Ah, Captain. You weren't in your office so I thought that you would be here. The Commander is asking for you in his office," she told me to which I nodded and she left after delivering the message.

While leaving for Erwin's office, I decided to ask Isabel again why they hated her so much.

"She's always clinging to you like she's your little sister," Isabel pouted.

"C'mon, you're just jealous," Furlan laughed.

"I'm not!" Isabel defended herself.

"Yes you are," I agreed with Furlan.

"C'mon Big Bro. Not you too!" Isabel pouted. I could see that she took my words to heart again and felt hurt.

"Idiot," I patted her head to make her feel better and then exited Furlan's office and closed the door behind me, now heading to Erwin's office. I entered without knocking to see Erwin deeply engrossed in his work.

"You called," I said as Erwin snapped out of his thoughts and looked at me.

"Ah, yes. Furlan sent the form for a permit to arrest someone in the U.S.. You need this till Sunday, right?"

"Yes."

"Getting this approved in 4 days will be tricky though I can manage upon saying that this is an emergency but, the higher ups will be expecting results. Are you prepared to catch her or get some valuable information at the very least?"

"We barely know anything about her, Erwin. For all we know, she could be a ninja," I joked, rolling my eyes, "All I can say is that I will try my very best. If we don't try then we can't expect results."

"Very well," Erwin sighed, "Pack your bags then. I'll get the permit approved. Dismissed."

I left his office without another word thinking about how this could go wrong. What if 'A' is Y/N herself and she just wants to make a fool out of the French Police Department? No, that can't be, she has no motive to do that. I thought about my previous theory about 'A' being one of her so-called friends who betrayed her.

I sighed, tired once again. This was so unlike me, since when did I begin getting tired after doing nothing at all? I headed to my office to do some brainstorming about our target and rereading the little amount of information we had about her. When I got into my office, I remembered that I had forgotten to do my daily cleaning yesterday because of 'A''s message so I decided to do that now before working.

I grabbed my personal cleaning supplies from my closet and started cleaning my desk first, still thinking about the case. If our target manages to run away once again, it will be a huge defeat for us and that's if she ever goes to Anteiku at that time and day.

I thought about what the records said as I began to wipe the windows. It said that she had begun stealing diamonds at the age of 21 and is now 26. She was caught for the first time when she was 22 and since then, has been caught thrice but she manages to escape every time no matter where she is sent and how much security that place has. Getting caught was basically just a rite of passage for and she made sure to always go back to the place she was caught and steal there again to humiliate the people who caught her. Basically, she's vengeful. Also, she never confessed to where she stored all the diamonds and gemstones she stole no matter who violent the interrogations got. And so, not a single diamond or gemstone that she has stolen has been restored.

I subconsciously grabbed the broom and started sweeping the floor. So, all the information tells me that she is difficult to catch and even if I do manage to successfully capture her, she'd be back to insult me and I don't know if I could do anything about that. I put the broom back and took the mop to mop the floor. After that, I grabbed my office phone and called my squad to my office to inform them of the mission now that my office looked presentable.

Why do I always get such missions?
