Levi's POV

"Isabel," I said, looking at the building before us. It definitely wasn't a house, not with the proper designated parking spots and the sheer size of the building, "We're here."

No response.

"Isabel," I turned around and reached out for her, shaking her awake with my bloodied hands, "This is a serious situation. Get up!"

"Right. Right! Big bro! Is Y/N okay?!"

"She's alive," I answered, "We're at the address. Now how exactly do we get the medical supplies?"

"Give me Y/N's phone, big bro," Isabel reached her hands out as I passed her the phone and she opened the keypad to dial in a number, thought about it, before pressing 'call'.

She put the phone up to her ear and the moment someone picked up, she started speaking, "Furlan, it's me. Shh. I'm fine. I swear I'm fine. No. No. Don't tell anyone. I need your help Furlan. I'm outside. Yes, outside the building. No! No. Don't come out yet. I need you to get a few things before coming out. Make sure to not alert anyone at all. No one should know, okay? I need you to get some medical supplies like disinfectants and supplies to stitch a wound. No, I'm not hurt. I swear I'm not hurt. Just get the supplies. We're in the...uh...black sedan in the parking lot. I don't know the model! We're behind the car you were assigned. Alright! I'm waiting! Hurry!"

"What is Furlan doing here?!" I demanded answers from Isabel once she hung up the phone.

"Big bro," Isabel began, "We-uh, we were here for you. Commander-it was him who brought us here. We're not supposed to be here because we didn't ask the higher ups but the commander wanted to find you. We got intel you were here. It was the same person who provided us with intel about Y/N's location in Anteiku. Soon after we got here, I was kidnapped."

"Mikasa," I murmured, "She gave you the intel to get you here so she could kidnap you."

"Seems that way. But big bro, I gotta ask. What are you doing? Why are you with the thief?"

"I-," I was confused about how to respond.

"We know that you are innocent, big bro," Isabel began, "We know that the authorities will never judge you properly. But big bro, what is your plan? You can live in hiding for the rest of your life but if you wanted to do that then you wouldn't be with her. What...are you doing here?"

"I...," I hesitated in answering Isabel's question, wondering whether I should tell her the truth. What would she think if I told her that I was risking my future to take revenge for my parents who would have never wanted this? What would she think if I told her that I was putting my trust in a criminal I was instructed to capture instead of the law I had served all my life? What would she think if I told her that I had chosen a future where those who wronged me would fall instead of a future of peace with her and Furlan?

"It's okay," Isabel assured me before I could answer her, "If you can't tell me then it must be a difficult question to answer, big bro. That's okay. Just remember, Furlan and I are always on your side."

Before I could reply, Y/N's phone rang and Isabel immediately picked it up.

"Yeah? You're here. Alright. We'll come out of the car."

Isabel asked me to get out of the car and I did along with her. Right after exiting, I saw Furlan. He was staring back at me, paralysed. When he saw me, he dropped all the medical supplies in his hands all on the ground out of shock and just stood there, wordlessly.

"Furlan...," I was the first one to break out of my trance, partly because I already knew he was coming. Before I could utter another word, however, I was tightly pulled into a hug by Furlan who had literally lunged at me.

"Where were you?!" He yelled at me, "It's been weeks after I see you and you choose to show up half naked?!"

Isabel joined the hug and in two seconds, she broke it, remembering our priority, "Furlan, we can catch up later but right now, we need to help Y/N."

"Huh?" Furlan was confused, "Help Y/N? What are you talking about?"

"We shouldn't stay in the parking lot for this long or someone inside the building will notice," I grabbed the medical supplies Furlan had dropped on the floor and handed them to Isabel before getting back inside through the driver's seat, "Shit. We can't go far. The tank is nearly empty."

"But what happened-," Furlan froze up for a moment when he saw Y/N's condition in the back seat, "Oh my...."

"Get the medical pliers out," Isabel instructed, "We have to get the bullet out and stitch her up. It's already been hours...."

"Can somebody explain this situation to me?!" Furlan panicked as he followed Isabel's instructions while I drove away.

"I-I don't know what's happening either," Isabel began, "But all I know is that Y/N saved me.... And she took the bullet for big bro. So we have to save her."

"Why would she do that?!" Furlan asked the question all of us wanted to know the answer for.

"Alright. So the bullet is out. You have the alcohol disinfectant, Furlan?" Isabel didn't answer him, too busy trying to save Y/N.

"This whole situation looks more like a crazy dream than reality," Furlan handed Isabel the disinfectant and I knew she immediately applied it because I could hear Y/N's muffled screams as Furlan, who rested her head in his lap, tried to comfort her.

"Isabel, how much disinfectant are you applying?!" I asked Isabel because Y/N's screams only got louder and louder.

"More than necessary," Isabel mumbled, "I need to be sure that the wound is clean. I have never done this in reality before!"

I continued driving away from the building with whatever fuel the car had left as the two in the back stitched up the fourth person in the car.

"It's done," Isabel sighed in relief after she had stitched and bandaged Y/N's wound, "She'll be fine."

There was silence in the car as I stopped driving. We were far enough from the building and the tank was almost empty.

"So," Furlan breathed out, "Does anyone wanna talk about what the hell just happened?"

Before I could reply to Furlan, a phone rang, specifically, Y/N's phone. I picked it up to see who it was and if it was Mikasa. The caller ID was merely a number so it was a possibility that it was her. I picked up the phone to confirm my suspicions but I was wrong.

"Y/N! Y/N! Are you alright?!"

A/N = Sorry for not posting for so long. I was still adjusting to my new schedule.

It was painful italicizing all but one dialogues in the chapter.

I have a joke about chemistry but I don't think it'll get a reaction.
