"Okay, once Jailbird gets his panties out from his ass crack, we can start looking at details." Collin came through the doorway and Jay glowered at him but the blond haired male ignored him before gesturing at me to follow him. "We've got all the samples in for you to look at and we want to make sure we have everything you want space wise before we really get into throwing shit together." Collin stopped by a rather large table that was currently being used as a place for blueprints, tools, and some thermoses.

"Yah, the windows and doors will arrive sometime this week but we can expect another three day wait." Jay said it as he moved to stand beside Collin.

"No more than five days though." Collin pulled out some tiles as Jay pulled out some square pieces of wood. "And Mene help the transport company if any of them are fucking broken." He muttered it out as he arranged the tiles on the table.

"Agree there." Jay arranged the squares of wood next to the tiles before both males looked at me. "We want you to pick out back splash, counter tops, and flooring." Jay smiled at me and I nodded. I moved closer to the table and ignored the sound of hammering that must have been from Bennett further in the shell of a house.

The samples were laid out and I looked it over, feeling slightly overwhelmed and not entirely sure what to pick. I gave a small hmm and picked up a lighter stained square of wood, it reminded me of Brochan's butcherblock counter tops. "Can we do wood counters?" I looked at the two males and they nodded. "I would like that, in this colour if possible." I gently set the piece down and Collin picked it up.

"I like it. Simple and effective. Easy to do at the shop too, so no wait for the countertop after we make the cabinets." He nodded, handing the sample to Jay, and then pointed at the tiles. There were a lot of different styles. "Some of those are backsplash and some are floor tiles but we won't hold it against you if you want to switch it up and have floor tiles as a back splash." He shrugged and I nodded.

"Not those two." Duffy pointed at the two rock looking tiles. One was in small stripes and they were various sizes and widths and I curled my nose up at it. She was right, I didn't like that one. And the other was a rough looking stone in a bigger sizes. She was right, both were not ones I liked or would like to have in any house I was in.

"Why? I liked this one?" Jay pointed to the bigger tile and I made a slight face as I looked at it.

"Harder to clean.

"Absolute bitch to clean."

Duffy and I spoke at the same time and when I looked at her she nudged me gently, a smirk on her face that I responded to with a smile. The two tile types were rough and the one, with it's varying thicknesses and sizes, made a lot of little ledges where dust and dirt could get into that would be nearly impossible to clean out and the rough looking larger one, was pitted and it would need a scrub brush to properly clean.

"I didn't even think of that." Jay had a slightly impressed look on his face as he removed the tiles from the selection.

"That's because you don't clean the kitchen. I told you those were a bad idea." Collin smirked slightly before he looked at me. "See any others?" He gestured to the group and I pinched my lips together. They were all different but nothing really stood out to me. I did like a faint powder blue one but the thought of that much blue was a lot.

"I like this but that's too much blue. It would need to be broken up with something else." I tapped the tile and Collin looked super excited.

"I'll be right back!" He bolted from the house, calling out that he would come right back and to just wait.

Jay rolled his eyes. "He's getting those old tiles. Ignore it." He gestured back at the samples. "Do you want tile floors or hardwood?"

"Hardwood." The answer was automatic. I was familiar with wood floors and I didn't want to have to clean grout through the entire house.
