(I don't mean to throw y'all off but I just gotta tell you how much I value your votes, even more so your comments. I adore reading them.)

When you reach your hands through the gate, your fingers felt a slight and chilly breeze. Strangely enough, there wasn't any water on the other side, so you decide to climb through and the second you do, you see Steve on the ground and struggling beneath a shadowy mass of what looked like bats?
Your eyes widen in fear seeing him being strangled by one of the creatures. Looking for Nancy and Robin, you see them already doing their best to help but with no luck, Steve is only being mauled; and yet, regardless of all the pain, the bat was so tightly wrapped around his neck that he couldn't even muster a scream.

You pull your entire body through the gate which took a lot of upper body strength, but with the obnoxious amount of adrenaline you felt running through your veins at this very moment, nothing could stop you from making your way to Steve.

You grab anything you could get your hands on first, an old baseball bat, and without delay, you bring it down on the bats skull, once, and then twice, until finally, it lets go.

You thought all was well enough to help Steve now, rushing your way to his side to see his abdomen was fleshy and covered in blood. A concerning amount of it, too.
"Y/N!" Robin shouts from afar, under fire from her own number of bats.
You turn around to face her but in only a flash, you're dragged away from Steve. So fast, that you didn't even know what was happening. All you knew was that there was something thin and yet so strong, tightly wrapped around your neck, now.
You look down at a bat clinging around your ankle, and looking past it, you see Steve in the distance, struggling to stand up as he watches you becoming their next meal.
"Y/N!!" Nancy shouts, her voice raspy with tears.
You wince silently at the razor sharp teeth nipping into your ankle, while the other holds you down by your throat. The immense torture you were under and the lack of oxygen, started to make you feel hazy.

When it felt like there was no hope left for you, came a hazy silhouette of a hero dressed in denim and leather and a rusted, old pipe swinging past your peripheral which led to a breath of air, at last.
"Eddie?!" Robin calls out, "About time! Y/N was almost a goner!"
Eddie drops the pipe on the ground with a loud clang, paying no mind to Robin, nor Nancy, and not even Steve as he lay bleeding on the concrete. He only rushed to your side, prying the remaining bats jaws open with his bare hands until he feels it snap in his grip, followed by the bats painful screech.
"This is gonna hurt, okay? Just- bare with me." Eddie huffs as he too, tries to catch his breath.
You sit up to look at your ankle, feeling wheezy at the gruesome sight.
"Oh my god...that is revolting." You moan as you cling onto Eddies arm.
"Don't look, and uh..." He pauses to look up at your distressed eyes, "...squeeze me if you need to." He assures before tearing a piece of cloth from his hellfire shirt, and tying it around your bloodied ankle. Your hand on his arm only tightens with the pain, grabbing a fist full of his jacket in your hand as you gasp.
"Ow, ow, ow..." You throw your head back as he ties the knot, and not long after, you feel his hand lift your face to look at his.
"I'm so sorry I wasn't here sooner." Eddie says, "Do you think you can walk for me?"
His thumb softly wipes at the dirt on your cheek before you slowly nod in response.
"I...I think so...maybe...I don't know." You mutter.
"Here-" Eddie slides one arm under your legs and his other around your waist, lifting you up with ease. "I'll carry you."
"No, I'll only slow you down."
"I don't care-"
"I do, Eddie. Steve's in worse shape than me, if he can stand, then so can I."
Eddie gazes down into your eyes, he admired the strong facade he saw behind them but he still didn't like the idea of you walking on that ankle.
"Sure..." He slowly begins to place you down, letting your arms cling desperately around his shoulders as he does. Preparing for pain, you press your head against his chest.
"Are you alright?"
You sigh a dejected breath of relief when you feel both your feet on the ground, it didn't hurt as bad as you thought it would but you definitely had a limp in your step, now.

"Steve? Y/N? How are you guys feeling?" Nancy asks as she checks on Steve first before walking over to you and Eddie.
"How are you guys feeling? Really?" Eddie repeats, "Y/N was almost alien chum and you're asking her how she's feeling?"
"Eddie-"
"No, No, cause what the shit was all that?!" Eddie shouts in a bad temper. Annoyance elevating in his tone of voice but he stays perfectly still for you to hold onto, his arms situated around your waist.
"Dude, keep your tantrum to a minimum." Robin asserts, "We don't want to alert the rest of the hoard."
"We need to find some place safe, for now." Steve huffs, "I know a spot."
"Of course you do, Steve."
