The second you arrive at Eddies place, he hurriedly jumps off the bike and makes his way inside. The others shared curious looks amongst each other but he couldn't be blamed for his haste.
After finding out Vecna was after you, nothing mattered more to Eddie than getting you home. As out of character as it was for him to walk right by you, he did exactly that. No glance, no hand holding, not even a sound. It wasn't that he was mad at you, he just wished you had felt comfortable enough to confide in him sooner.

You and the others shortly follow him inside where he stands in the middle of the room, staring at what seemed to be a gate.
"This is where Chrissy died, like, exactly where." Eddie says under his breath. You watched as the muscles in his jaw tense before gulping and turning around to face you. He couldn't keep it up for long though, not without picturing you in Chrissys place. So, he shakes his head and looks away again.
"There's something in there..." Robin says, peering cautiously at the black shadow. It poked and moved around the gates thin surface until finally, it pierces through. Shocked, the others shield their faces away from the lively thing while Eddie only moves in front of you, protectively holding you behind him until they realise it wasn't a live creature at all, but the handle of a broomstick.
"Sup guys!" Dustin calls out.
"Phew." Steve sighs, "Jesus, Henderson."
"What? We've come to your rescue!"
Dustin then tosses a rope through that he made from Eddies sheets, it dangled on both ends, completely defying the laws of gravity.
"Holy cow..." You gawk.
"I'm no holy cow but you can call me the great and almighty Hender-fender, greatest sorcerer there ever lived!"
"Christ, dude."
"What?" He smiles while Lucas and Max haul a stained mattress below the rope.
"Those stains are- uh..." Eddie utters before clearing his throat, "I don't know what those stains are."
"Gross." You giggle as you push past him, "Who wants to go first?"
"I call dibs!" Robin walks up beside you where you help her up the rope.
Nancy then followed, before Steve.

That leaves only you and Eddie left, now.

You look around at your surroundings one last time as Eddie tugs at the rope and gets into position to help you up. He still couldn't bare to look at you, not for too long, anyways, and not in this very room; but you understood.
A small and soft smile flickered across your face as you watched him ensure the ropes safety for you, regardless of the others ensuring it already. Even while he was under the most immense stress, he would stop at nothing to make sure you were taken care of. He did that a lot. For everybody, even if they didn't deserve it, he would always take care of people.

You smiled lovingly, but it faded when that dreaded melody rang out again.

- I'm gonna miss your love
The minute you walk out that door
So please don't go
Don't go

You place your hands tightly over your ears, trying your best to block out the music as you cradle your head in your own arms, face scrunched as tears begin to gather in the corner of your eyes. You lift your head up to get Eddies attention, his long, frazzled hair was so refreshing to see that it basically put you to ease in as quick as a heartbeat.
"Eddie..." You say as your breath begins to hitch with restrained tears. You tug at the hem of his leather jacket, but when he turns around, it wasn't Eddie at all. "-Billy?..."
"I've found you."
The fabrication of Billy's face was bloodied and bruised. His eyes were pooled with tears as he walks forwards, staunching over you with his tall stature.
You squeeze your eyes shut again, pleading to yourself not to fall for it, that's it's not real and it was not the real Billy.
"Open your eyes, Y/N." He says, stepping closer until his leather boots were visible beneath you, "I want to show you something..."

Eddie stares up through the gate at the others where Steve is pulled up and off of the mattress by Lucas, before Dustin jumps excitedly, giving Eddie the thumbs up. "Ready for the last Batch, Eddie-the-banished!"
"Alright...you ready?" Eddie asks with his head low. After getting no response at all, he peers over his shoulder in the direction of you.
"Y/N?" Eddie calls out again.
Nothing.
With a deep sigh, he leaves the middle of the room and walks over towards you, expecting nothing but the silent treatment. Only after noticing you stood completely still, he began to put a little more pace in his step before bending down to your eye level.

Your bright eyes were now cloudy ones and you were completely unresponsive.

"Y/N!?" He shakes you vigorously by your shoulders as he starts to panic.
It was happening.
"Somebody! Anybody, help!" He yells.
"Eddie? What's going on down there?!"
"He has her!"
"Shit, shit, shit!" Steve jumps back onto the rope, climbing through until he hits the floor, back first. He winces at the pain for a few seconds but quickly runs to your side. "Hey, Hey! Wake up!"
"She's not gonna wake up, Steve~!" Eddie shouts.
"Music, music!" Robin frantically yells from the other side, which directs both Steve and Eddie to hurriedly rummage through anything that wasn't entrapped in the hive vines.
Steve digs through all the wrong places, while Eddie throws all the tapes he owns into a pile on the floor where Steve then scurries to.
"What the hell is all this?!" Steve yells, flicking through all the heavy metal bands. Most of which, he has never even heard of.
"What the the shit else do you want?!"
"Music, Eddie, music!"
"This...is...music!"
Eddie stares daggers at Steve as he holds up a hopeless Metallica cassette until he noticed something right there in front of him, staring him dead in the eye.
His vest.
Eddie drops the tape in his hand and lunges at Steve.
"Woah, woah, woah! I'm sorry dude! I take it back!"Steve pleads as he surrenders. Eddie says nothing and furiously begins to dig through the pocket of his vest, pulling out the Bowie tape he took from his friends place the night you danced together.

"It's my favourite song."

Eddie then races towards his bedroom where a pair of headphones were bound to be and right there ahead of him, on top of his guitars amplifier, there was.

Taking his uncles cassette player, Eddie struggles to plug the headphones into the jack. His hands were shaking so intensely that he started to cry out of pure distress.
"Come on, come on!" He panics through clenched teeth. Steve watches pitifully at the mess Eddie was becoming before shoving him out of the way and helping, until finally.
All there was left to do was press play.
