As you run through the woods, you can hear Jason yelling between pained groans. He began by calling out to you, before it faded into angry demands towards his pal, Andy.
"Y/N! It doesn't have to be this way!" He shouts, "What're you waiting for, stupid? Go get her!"

Jason stay clutching at his groin, heaving on the pavement while Andy ran off after you.
You knew there was no chance in hell you could out run a jock, especially with your ankle in the shape that it was.
You ran as fast as your ankle could take you through the dark forest, feeling like the gazelle on some discovery channel while the fast footsteps of the Jock behind you could be heard getting closer and closer, accompanied by his loud and excessive grunting.

You take a few branches to the face in your desperation to get away but nothing could brace you for the harsh impact you felt next.

In the blink of an eye, you found yourself face down in the grass, straddled by a heavy and brutish Andy holding you down by your wrists.
"Don't you see he just wants the best for you?!" He shouts. "We all do!"
"Get the fuck off of me!" You shout back.
He moves not a moment after but only to flip you around so that you're facing him now, pinning your arms down above your head. His eyes were sharp and his curly hair hung messily over his face.
"Let me go, Andy."
"Jason! I've got her!"
"...I said let me go."
"You know, it's really such a shame you decided to hang out with the wrong crowd." He says with a shifty smile, "We could've been so good together."
"Me? With a loser like you? Don't make me laugh."
"Trust a possessed bitch to say something like that."
"Oh please! Don't kid yourself!" You scream.
You struggle beneath his heft and he takes pleasure in watching.
"You're nothing without Jason, you know that because here you are following his every command like the dog you are-!" You spit, "Coward!"
As much as you began to get on his every nerve, his grip on you only tightens around your already bruised wrist, making you flinch.
"If you know what's good for you, you'd shut up." He says through clenched teeth.
"Andy, you're hurting me..." You mumble, only getting a satisfied smile from him in return, "Let go...I said, let go!"

Andy leans down closer as you cry out in pain when all of a sudden, a dark blur tackles him straight off of you.

You immediately cradle your wrist to your chest as you turn on your side and after the few remaining tears fall from your eyes, you open them again to see Eddie.
"Eddie..." You smile weakly, but he was too preoccupied with the jock to look your way.
He lands a hit to Andy's face, and the sound that came afterwards made you cringe. Eddies row of rings plunged down with every blow, making Andy's nose crunch. As if he was numb to it, Eddie just keeps going. Hit after hit.
"Eddie, hey...that's enough." You say softly.
You could see it in his face, tense as all hell, that he didn't want to stop but as he felt your hand catch his, he comes to a stand still.
Eddie lets you pull him away from the jock lying beneath him, who, in his opinion, deserved more than just a broken nose.
"Sorry, I- I lost control there for a second..." He says as he looks at you, at last.
"I'm so glad you're okay." You utter, "You are okay...aren't you?"
"A few bites here and there but I'm okay." He smiles, "...It's over."

Eddie pulls you into him, holding your body close as he rests his head against yours. He ran his hand back and forth across your lower back, with knuckles that were severely bloodied but you didn't mind.
"You have no idea how scared I was for you." He says, which reminded you.
"Oh my god, Max!" You hurry out of his arms but he only pulls you back in.
"She's fine, she's awake."
"And the others?"
"Hmph, they're more than fine, Y/N." He chuckles, "How do you think I got here so fast? Speaking of, who knew little old Steve was such a machine behind the wheel."
You laugh into his chest, and he holds you even tighter as if he dreaded ever letting you go, again.
"He really cares about you, you know." He adds in a softer tone, reminiscing their conversation together back at the paddock; and it alone, made him victim to his own thoughts.
"What's wrong?" You ask as he slowly pulls away.
"Well..." He sighs, "I don't know if you remember but I asked you before, at the safe house, if things would go back to normal when it's all over...is your answer still...the same?"
"Eddie..."
"I guess what I'm trying to say is, are we...-"
"No, Eddie, you big goof." You giggle, "Just because this shit show is over, doesn't mean we are."

Eddie smiles as he nervously but gladly averts his gaze down at the gravel beneath his sneakers. He wanted so badly to jump around and fist pump the air but he decidedly settled for a subtle "Yes!", instead.
"Let's get back..." You smirk as you slip your fingers into his, "-and don't get too excited, we still need to clear your name."
"Steve's got that covered." He says with confidence.

Dodging low branches and broken ones from your earlier escape, your eyes land on a black van across the street, Eddies van, with Robin, Nancy, Steve and Erica all standing around it.
"This! Does this look like anything from our world?!" Steve shouts as he holds a dead demo-bat in front of Jasons eyes.
"You- you're all crazy!"
"Steve, maybe shaking around a dead animal isn't the best idea to convince someone we aren't insane." Robin suggests.
"Surely he knows- you know it's an alien, right?" Steve asks but Jason only runs away. When he makes it across the street, he runs into you in Eddies arm and he pauses. He wants to fight for you but he feared the boy beside you even more, and so, afraid of being cursed or possessed, he backs off; disappearing into the dark void.
"Y/N, you live!" Robin says as she runs up to you with open arms, causing Eddie to roll his eyes.
"Sheesh, sorry- I mean, of course she lives! Duh."
"Robin! Did you do it?" You ask.
"Sure did! Vecna is no more!" She parades, "Thought about bringing his head back with me but Nancy thought that'd be a little too much."

You lean forward in a fit of laughter until another little somebody comes forward.
"Here." Erica says as she holds her hand out.
"Eddies necklace..."
"You mean your necklace." Eddie corrects.
"But-"
"But nothing." He says, "Do you know how many guitar picks I have at home? We can have matching necklaces plus replacements."
"-I'm here! Guys, I'm here to help!"
Collectively looking towards the bushes, you see Dustin.
"Henderson, you ran all the way here?" Steve asks.
"Wha-? Steve? Eddie? You're okay!"
"Yeah, I'm okay." Eddie huffs, "You look close to death, though."
"Yeah, no thanks to you." Dustin says as he catches his breath, "Don't you ever do that to me again."
