Aether struck the enemy with his sword, ending the agent's life one by one. His home and family were at risk, and the Fatui threatened to kill them if he didn't come out and fight them. Only one son and a husband who he'd risked his life for. They were important to him. They were his life. The blond huffed and puffed. He was growing tired of these games.
"Mama!" Aether stopped immediately. His son was here? Held captive or hostage? Was it bait? Or was it a trick?
"Apollo!" The blond was slashed through the chest. He couldn't even see the sword that killed him.
"You're so lucky that we spared your stomach. It's so that you have a chance to see your undeveloped newborn."-Fatui Agent
"No...That would harm them in the future! I-I refuse!"-Aether
"Oh? Then what if I just" The agent grabbed a dagger and pointed it at the blond's stomach. He then stabbed the blond on his leg.
"Leave him out in the woods. He'll die in a matter of minutes, maybe hours, due to his injuries."-Fatui Agent
Four Fatui agents carried the almost dead body out to the woods. They then tossed him onto his back.
"Xiao...I'm sorry...I'm so sorry. I failed us. I failed as a parent."-Aether
Aether imagined coming home to his family. Xiao cooking Almond Tofu for the 100th time, his son Apollo waiting for his mother to tuck him into bed, and his sister scolding Xiao for his cold like stare.
"Mama! Stars! Stars!" Apollo was only two. He wanted to know more about space and the moon. Aether always read Apollo science fiction books before he went to bed.
Before he knew it, he closed his eyes and was reunited with his mother again. Little did he know that Xiao was the one giving him those little day dreams. So he couldn't ruin his beautiful milky face with tears. So he could have such a peaceful death. So he could see Apollo one last time.
"My darling sunshine. You fought well. Now it's your time to rest. Watch over us in Celestia for me okay?" Xiao kissed his lover's forehead, wishing him and the child inside a goodbye.

"Mama can't come back Starlight. I'm sorry."-Xiao
"Mama! MAMA, MAMA, MAMA!"Apollo started crying. He missed his mother so much. He missed his bedtime stories. His laughter. His blanket like hair.
"Lumi, take Apollo to bed please. I need some time alone."-Xiao
Lumine nodded and took the crying Apollo away from his arms. Xiao looked at the balcony. He wondered where he was now.
On a side note, who's ready for 2.8?! I really need a new 5 star! Haven't got one since Zhongli's third rerun.
