So I maybe got inspired by when Kazhua got unhinged at the guy in the summer event at the end. And it's something that I would like the traveler to do in game, buts it's Hoyoverse, it ain't gonna happen.
Aether finally got discharged from the hospital and got home to just sit down on a circular rug. He looked rather traumatized and tired. Like he was scared of something. Aria crawled towards him, hugging his leg. Aether just pat her on the head.
"Xiao...I don't know if I can sleep anymore. I'm scared I'll see him again."-Aether
"Then rest with me. Play with Aria for a bit. Take all the breaks you need. Even if you forget for a day, that's enough for me."-Xiao
Aether balled up a fistful of the rug in his hands. He was shivering and looked like he wanted to cry. Xiao sat down with him and laid the blond down. Aria laid by his stomach, cuddling his arm in the process. He just couldn't hold it in anymore. Aether started crying about all his thoughts. How he got attacked for just sitting in this very spot holding a small child in his arms. How scared he remembered Aria was. How seeing her get shot first make his heart break. How he just let everything happen after that. There was just no point to living if he couldn't die with his only child at the moment.
"It's okay. Let it all out. If you need anything, I'm here."-Xiao
Aria was confused on why her mother was crying. So she cried as well. Xiao sighed as he pulled Aria into a hug. They were going to be a job for him. For sure.

"You feel better now? After that breakdown, me and Lumine decided to get you therapy."-Xiao
"You know you guys can't make all the decisions for me. I have to make some myself."-Aether
"I know, but you won't usually talk to us about it. So there's someone to talk to. You don't have to talk at first but at least get it out. You don't have to tell me or Lumine what happened at the session, but at least try it."-Xiao
"Pfft, I don't need therapy. I just need time to myself for a while."-Aether
Aether was breastfeeding Aria as he spoke to his husband. She soon fell asleep in his arms as they started to talk about how the blond had to work less. Aether could only smile at her peaceful state. Xiao sat down with him and caressed the little baby's cheek.
"AETHER!" Aether flinched at the shout for his name. He gave Aria to Xiao as he went to go hide somewhere. The blond didn't know who it was, he just assumed it was someone bad looking for him. He started panicking in the corner beside his closet. Xiao didn't even know how to react, this was new to him.
"Where is he?! Where's Aether?!"-Aether's Father
"Father, he just got discharged! Let him be!"-Lumine
"He still has unfinished work to do, and it's due by the end of the week! Do you want a riot?! Do you want yet another problem added to this current burden that your useless brother has made?!"-Aether's Father
Lumine looked defeated. It wasn't Aether's fault that he was marked personal interest by the Fatui, but he didn't finish his part of his assignment. Which was fine with her, since she could just review it with him later on, but nothing passes her father without him knowing. At this point, Aether was shouting and crying in fear that it was his fault for everything. He couldn't breathe. He could barely speak. He could only cry. Xiao stood up, looking pissed off. Aria was still asleep surprisedly. The raven sat her down on the sofa.
"Enough. You need to leave. Now."-Xiao
"Oh, and what are you going to do about it? Pipsqueak?"-Aether's Father
"Father dont-"-Lumine
"It's okay. He needs to learn something. Forgive me, Mother, for this." Xiao threw the twin's father onto the floor, breaking his wrist in the process. He didn't care at the moment, he was just so angry. A father shouldn't be angry at his own son because he was taking a break. Because he just came from the hospital.
Xiao then cracked his knuckles and punched his nose, making him fall back. He then closed the door on him, after letting Lumine in. She went to comfort the panicking Aether. So did Xiao, all he needed to calm down was Aria.
Aria squirmed a bit before going back to sleep. Aether sighed and couldn't help but feel this was his fault.
"It's not your fault. You can't do anything about being on a list that you don't want to be on."-Lumine
"I know, it's just hard to believe that I left so much for you guys to do. At least, that's what Father is saying."-Aether
"He's just unpleasant to the situation. Sure, we do need to go over something together, but he took it the wrong way. You missed a lot. But hey, you're alive and almost well. And you have Xiao."-Lumine
"Mmm. Can I take the week off? Just to relax?"-Aether
"I was gonna tell you that anyways. Also, me and Xiao already did your work for you. You just need to send it out."-Lumine
Aether hugged his sister and husband. They're just the people to make his life better. Aria woke up and got all fussy because she didn't get a hug, making Aether giggle. She's gonna make his life better too
