Gwen and I watched on in muted fascination as Grandpa Max struggled to keep Ben still. The older man slapping away a hand, or pushing down a shoulder to keep the boy in line. All while in front of a mirror so Max knew what adjustments to make.

"Don't think I can take this much longer." Ben huffed. His face was pinched in pain.

"Just hold on. Almost there." Grandpa Max soothed.

"Can't breathe!" Ben gasped.

Gwen took that as her que to hop up with the box she had been holding, walking towards the pair and holding it out.

Grandpa Max reached back, taking a pair of scissors from the box. The elder exclaimed, "Ben, don't give up on me now."

"Gotta get out of here!" Ben exclaimed, reaching for the watch. "Going hero." He didn't get far before Grandpa Max stopped him.

"No, you're not. Save the drama, will you please? I just need to make sure this tux fits."

I scoffed as Gwen wandered back to my side. "This is why I packed prepared for anything fancy." I pointed to Gwen and I's shared bed. "Got an outfit fancy enough for this event."

"How?" Gwen asked. "It wasn't like you knew that we were going to go."

With a shrug I stared back at the miserable brunet in a ill fitting, purple tux. "Mom always made sure to be prepared for anything. She was also the one to pack my summer bags." I thought green looked much better on Ben.

"Better loosen that bow tie, Grandpa. Ben's brain needs all the oxygen it can get." Gwen pointed out.

Grandpa Max noticed it too, and loosened the tie.

Ben took a deep breath like he never had air before, relaxing just a little bit. "The only thing worse than going to a stupid, old, boring wedding is being in a stupid, old, boring, wedding. Why can't they find someone else to be ring bearer?" Ben complained.

Maybe we should tighten the bow tie again. (Name) said.

Knock it off. I sent back.

"It's only for one weekend. You'll live." Grandpa Max scolded.

"I'm glad we're here!" Gwen piped up, setting aside the sewing kit in exchange for the invination to the event. "I've never been a flower girl before."

"And I've never been to a wedding, so might be fun." I also chimed in. Shrugging my shoulders while leaning back against the counter of the sink.

Grandpa Max again brushed off the tux, beaming proudly at the effort to dress Ben up for the event. "This tuxedo is a family heirloom. It was mine when I was a kid. Then your dad wore it, and now you."

"Oh, lucky me." Ben spat as Grandpa Max ruffled his hair and walked away.

"Just be careful with it, please."

Gwen started to dig around the place, then looked up to me when she couldn't find it. "Where's the camera?"

"Oh, on the table. I forgot to put it away." I replied, waving at the device still out.

The redhead smiled, snatching it up and walking over to Ben. "Smile and say, Megadweeb." She took the picture as Ben flew back and screamed out.

Too late as the image was already coming out and fanned.

I wondered over to take a peek, nodding. "Oh, definitely keeping that."

Ben sighed in defeat.
