Female Reader x Female Monster
You feel exhausted once you get to the cabin. It's been a family vacation spot since you were little, but recently it's been out of use. You've come, not for a vacation, but to give yourself one long, extended pity party. Life hasn't been very kind to you recently. College was just one continuous as kicking. Sure, you did well, graduated top of your class, valedictorian. Yada-yada-yada. But still, it was hard. Not only that, you had a pretty nasty break-up after graduation. You also lost out on a job opportunity. Also, your sister just got married to her childhood sweetheart and they just announced they were expecting. That was nice but it felt like salt in the wound. Oh yeah, there was also that extra weight you packed on because of stress, but you choose to ignore that.
You collapse on the old sofa and it smells like twenty-years of butts and old food. You huff, rolling over and gazing over the floor. Everything is covered in sheets and it looks like a conference of ghosts. You sigh, closing your eyes and sinking into the sofa despite its smell.
You wake up, having huddled yourself into a ball and taken a sheet from a nearby lamp to cover yourself. Outside, the winds are howling viciously and all you can see beyond the windows is an endless sea of white.
"Of fucking course," you grumble as you stand up. You would happen to come when a blizzard hits. You continue to spew profanity under your breath as you get the fireplace cleaned out and loaded. Thankfully, old wood had been left inside. You could at least find a few things to be grateful for. You manage to get the fire lit, although it stops and starts a few times.
You check your phone, finding you have no service. You grunt and shake your head. "Oh well, if I perish, I perish." You toss your phone onto the table and start unpacking. As you're putting your food away you start to hear something like whispering. Even though the painfully loud howling of the wind, the whispers cut through like a hot knife in butter.
You turn to the window, hearing the whispers coming from there. You step towards the window and hear the voice. "Please let me in. It's so cold."
You stare in shock then shut the window blinds. "Fuck off! I'm tired!" You growl at it and return to unpacking and putting things away. You're glad you brought water now, even though all your family insisted there was running water at the cabin. Even if the water could run, it was frozen solid in the pipes now.
You find an old kettle and wash it out then fill it with water and get it over the fire. You sigh as you watch the flames and hear the burbling in the kettle.
"Please let me in," the voice whispers from another window.
"I said, fuck off!" you growl towards the window. "I do not have time for this crap!"
"The wind is so loud," the voice whimpers.
"So are you! Give me one less thing to complain about and fuck off!" You turn back to the fire and grumble under your breath.
"You look so soft and warm. I want to touch you."
The words send a shock through your system and you temporarily shut down for a moment. You glance to the window, the voice has gone silent again. The kettle whistles loudly and you remove it, going to the table and filling a teapot and a cup of noodles. You start to relax a little as you eat and sip on tea. You bring out one of your favorite books, feeling it's time to do a reread. As you open the book there is a knock on the door.
You nearly choke on your tea at the sound. You stand up as there is a knock again. You frown and approach the door. You reach out to take the knob and you hear the voice outside again. It softly whispers to you.
"Just let me come inside for a moment. It looks so comfy."
You frown and open the door but you see nothing there. "Oh come on," you groan.
