Female Reader x Male Monster
You recently started a new job that you had been excited for. Well, you were excited for the pay and the insurance that came with it. You'd never had a job where you had things like insurance and 401K and adult sounding things like that. The most incentive you ever got from a job was free french fries or a fifteen-minute break. This was your first big break job, a job where you actually use all those wasted years of college tuition on.
You were hired as an executive assistant for the editor of some big publishing house. You'd be running all his errands, scheduling his meetings, and be a common fixture by his side while he worked. Now, while you highly advanced words per minute were a little wasted on just assistant, you kept telling yourself you weren't just any assistant, no no, you were an EXECUTIVE assistant. That was much better. Maybe. You had no idea what the addition of 'executive' to anything really meant.
Anyways, work was pretty learn as you go. You were warned your boss, Ramses Vladik (which was quite possibly the most menacing name you had ever heard) was something of a hard ass and expected things in a particular way. And while he was an ass, he at least was understanding you were knew and had to learn him as he had to learn you.
Mr. Vladik, as he insisted he be called, was a massive man, or well Orc actually. He was a domineering presence, even when he was seated. You felt quite dainty and small standing next to him, which rarely happened, being a rather chubby and curvaceous lady it took a lot to make you feel dainty anything.
Mr. Vladik's back was like a wall covered in an Armani suit. He rarely wore a tie, and if he did you had learned that meant he was expecting to argue that day. You rather liked when he didn't wear a tie, not just because he was in a better mood these days, but because he left his shirt unbuttoned to where you could see the top of his chiseled and hairy chest. That in of itself was a good enough a reward as any pension fund.
Mr. Vladik was also meticulously groomed. He always smelled so amazing you could understand why cartoon characters floated when they smelled a fresh baked pie. His dark hair was slicked back so that the salt and pepper of it really popped. It was obvious Mr. Vladik wanted the world to know he was expensive and worth the hassle.
One day you came into work early, wanting to get a head start on your chores around Mr. Vladik's office as well as finish off a few things so you would be ahead for the day. As you walked into Mr. Vladik's office you were caught off guard. You had thought Mr. Vladik had gone home last night, actually you were certain he did. But here he is, slouched over his desk as if sleeping. It seemed so unlike him, so odd.
You walked over to his desk, the lights in the office set very dim and the curtains are drawn. Everything is dead silent except for the sound of him breathing and your heels as you cross the office. You reach out to touch him and flinch back as he moves slightly. You jerk your head around, looking for some excuse and then you stretch your hand out again. You touch his shoulder, his slightly wrinkled shirt, and you gently shake.
"Mr. Vladik?" Your voice cracks. "Sir? Are you ok? It's morning."
His hand snatches your wrist so fast you let out an embarrassing yelp. Mr. Vladik growls and sits up, holding his head with his other hand.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" He snarls under his breath.
"I work here, sir," your voice cracks. His hand still firmly holds your wrist in place so you can't dash around his desk and out of harm's way.
Mr. Vladik picks up his wristwatch from the desk and growls at it. His eyes narrow upon it as you stare at his face. He's unshaven, his hair is falling in his eyes and is a disheveled mess. You gasp softly to yourself, you've never seen him in such a state before. He looks tired and irritated and has bags under his eyes. In a way, it was sort of attractive to see the meticulously put together Orc so messy.
