You can barely sleep. Since summer hit that's been a normal occurrence. You roll over and reach for your phone to check the time. You groan and kick your legs angrily. If your AC worked properly this wouldn't be an issue, but it didn't. It had a weird smell to it and every time you turned it on you felt like your cough would be triggered. The Twins were working on getting it fixed, but they had been called away to help their father with something.

That was torture enough. You missed them. It had been a long week without them. You've kept a chat going with them, but it isn't the same. You miss them terribly. You miss their kisses and their voices first thing in the morning. You miss their soft tails and their hands. In fact, you were feeling pent up. Which probably was the biggest reason you weren't able to sleep.

You take your phone again and send a text. "I can't sleep. Are you up?" The message goes to both Eiichi and Taichi, your landlords and boyfriends.

"I'm awake," Eiichi answers.

"What's wrong?" Taichi replies.

"It's too hot," you reply. "And I miss you two. When can you come home?"

"Why don't you turn the AC on?" Taichi asks.

"Because it smells weird and doesn't work great," you huff. "I've told you this and it still hasn't gotten fixed."

"We've been calling," Eiichi replies with a pouting emoji.

You sit up, taking a picture of your cleavage and showing how sweaty you are. "Well call faster."

"That's not fair! Don't torture us like that!" Eiichi replies.

"You can't send us a picture like that and expect us to react calmly," Taichi answers.

"Then come home," you tell them. "Surely you're close to being done."

"Almost," Eiichi says. "Dad says maybe a day or two more. But maybe if we ask we can get home sooner."

"I'm sorry we left you all alone. If you want you can go to the mansion tomorrow and try and get some rest." Taichi says.

"That place creeps me out," you tell them honestly. "I'll go swimming."

"Don't go swimming by yourself are you crazy?" Eiichi snaps.

"I agree with him, don't go to the lake alone."

You pout. "Ok fine."

"You should try and sleep," Taichi sends. "We love you and will be home soon."

"Love you! Sleep tight!" Eiichi sends with a bunch of emoji hearts.

You sigh and frown. "Love you too," you answer and set your phone aside. You roll over, hating the sensation of your skin touching you.

You manage to find some sleep, but come morning you feel cranky and ill. You slip on a silk robe and go into the kitchen. You take a cold coffee can from the fridge and rub it on your neck. You imagine a cold shower and somehow that helps.

"I'll go buy some beer and ice cream for tonight," you think to yourself. "And I'll take a nap in a cold tub." You walk outside onto the porch, thankful it's at least a little cool. There's a thick fog rolling in off the lake and you think to yourself that the heat is making is steam and dissipate.

You turn and see a car pulling up. You scowl. "Who the fuck is here this early in the morning?" You consider going inside and hiding but then you see two figures come out of the car before it pulls away.

"Good morning!" Taichi waves.

You gasp and rush to them. "What are you guys doing here!" You throw yourself into their arms.
