Having to go to the doctor's so much was a pain, but at least you had a great doctor now. Everytime you go, you don't get that sense of dread or exhaustion you used to. The Vampire Clinic, as strange as it sounds, has been the best thing to happen on your journey thus far.

Dr. Behr is your physician, and he's been the best doctor you've had. You know the clinic offers 'special' services, but you've been happy just talking with Dr. Behr.

One afternoon as Behr was waiting for your blood samples to come get picked up, he began talking. "Any plans for the rest of the afternoon?"

"Not really," you said as you buttoned up your shirt. "This is the first time I've not had to go back to work immediately after an appointment. I kind of thought I'd walk around a bit."

"Anything you're looking for?" Behr said with that handsome smile of his.

If there was one thing you felt conflicted about with Behr as your doctor, it was how damn good looking he was. "Not really. Maybe lunch." You then thought for a moment as you struggled with the last button on your shirt. "I collect books, so maybe a bookstore or something."

"That's great!" Behr exclaimed with excitement.

You looked up at him in surprise, seeing him recoil a bit from his own outburst. Behr chuckled and shook his head in embarrassment.

"My brother Lucy owns a bookshop. If you're a collector it's the perfect place." he began searching his drawers at the counter. "I keep business cards, hold on."

As Behr was searching, one of the nurses came in for the blood samples and Behr talked to them for a moment. He went back to searching, eventually producing a business card shaped like a black cat.

"The New Moon Cat's Emporium," he said. "He's got everything you could imagine."

The business card seemed so fancy, you figured it was going to be a place you could neither afford or you would feel out of place there. "Thanks Dr. Behr, I'll go by and look today."

Dr. Behr smiled proudly. "He's worked really hard on the place. Well, I could brag all day, but I don't want to hold you. I'll call you later with your results and let you know if any adjustments to your hormones need to be made."

"Okay, thank you," you said as you left.

The area around the clinic seemed to have a lot of vampire businesses. The windows were blocked out, and the doors had special instructions on them. You thought it was nice to see. After wandering around for a bit, you found yourself at the New Moon Cat's Emporium. The sign out front matched the card, and the blocked out windows had moons and cats painted all over them.

Inside, you grew excited upon seeing all the aisles and stacks of books. There was a desk at the front surrounded by mounds of books and boxes. The carpet inside was dark green, and the tall shelves made of dark wood all around made you feel like you were entering some strange, dark forest.

You looked around in awe for a moment, wondering where you should start first. Since no one was at the front desk, you made your way inside, going left and turning down a narrow aisle. You wandered around a bit, going through shelves of cook books, self help, history and such. Then finally, there was the fiction section. There was a mural painted on the back of a shelf featuring a dark forest with little glowing cats weaving in and out of the trees. You went down an aisle, stopping suddenly when you saw someone on the ground.

You looked around again then back at the person. They were sitting with their back against the shelf and their head down. For a moment, you thought it was a dead body. But a dead body in a bookshop? That was just something from TV right? You approached slowly, going up to the person and gently tapping their shoulder.
