I've been dating Wyck for a while now, I honestly never thought I would be dating someone after the last guy to storm through my life. We had met by chance at the food truck that is often outside my building. I was running late, scrambling to get cash from my piggy bank in order to afford one of my favorite meals. I rushed out money in my fist and slammed right into him. Every coin and bill I was clutching spilled out onto the street. He helped me pick it all up, and to my surprised bought me my meal to apologize.

We started just hanging out, but eventually, it got deeper. He kissed me one evening, and I didn't want him to stop. That's when we started dating. I was worried though, I was anxious about my last relationship, so I wanted to go slow. I didn't want to rush into anything, let alone be forced to do anything either. Again.

Wyck surprised me again. He agreed to it, in fact, he had wanted to bring it up to me too. It was a relief and a massive weight off my shoulders.

Our three month anniversary was coming up, and Wyck asked me if I wanted to do anything special.

"What about a trip?" I suggested.

He freezes up, going a little tense in his broad shoulders. He clears his throat and looks at me. "A trip?"

"Yeah, there's this amazing little cottage rental service just upstate. I've always wanted to go there but never had the money or good enough reason to. There's a winery and some great restaurants. We could rent it out for the week."

Wyck fidgets, looking a bit anxious. "Is that what you really want to do."

I smile up at him. "I want to if you want to." I reach out and touch his hand. "I also...really want to share a bed with you."

He takes my hand, squeezing it and then he kisses my wrist. "Ok," he murmurs. He then looks me in the eye. "You have me over a barrel Madeyika," he growls quietly into my ear.

I giggle, giving him a big kiss. "Thank you. I'm really excited."

He smiles at me, but there's still a nervous look in his eyes.

A few days later he texts me, telling me he's rented one of the cottages as well as made reservations at a couple of restaurants.

I've done something really unthinkable for me, I've bought lingerie. It had always seemed like such a waste of money to me before. But now, I felt like I wanted to show off a bit for Wyck. I know I'm not much to look at. Really, I'm like a stick figure. But with Wyck, I do feel sexy, and I want to show him that.

I'm ready to take the next step with Wyck. I want us to make love at last. I know it may seem like a long time to wait, but I feel comfortable with the idea now. Wyck has been the best man I've ever been with. And to be honest, I never thought I'd date an Orc.

Wyck stands head and shoulders over me. Standing next to him, I know I don't look like much. Hell, one of his hands can wrap around my waist. If Wyck ever wanted to, he could snap me in half. But his touch is always gentle, his kiss soft, and he always says the sweetest things.

He owns and manages an apartment building, a few in fact. He makes fantastic money, but that's far from my reasons for dating him. He lives on the top floor of one that has the most incredible view of the city. I always love visiting his place and sitting on the veranda as the sunsets.

It's nice dating someone who wants to take care of me as much as I want to take care of them. In my last relationship, I felt like mother and girlfriend to him. I took care of him, gave him money, everything stupid. But I've learned from it, and thankfully Wyck isn't anything like him.
