Female Reader x Male Monster
After a long contentious divorce, you were finally free. You were rid of your awful. Waste of space husband. Whoops, correction, ex-husband. You were now moving into your new home in the cutest little neighborhood. It was the kind of place that still had an ice cream cart, a weekly farmer's market, bingo nights, and most surprising of all daily milk delivery.
You found it all so charming and adorable. You bought the house as soon as you saw the listing online. It seemed like the perfect place for you to finally finish your current novel. You've been working on a book series and book five has been gathering thick layers of dust because of your craptastic ex. Your agent was breathing down your neck and the publisher was starting to turn the screws.
You've always been an early bird, waking up at the crack of dawn before even the birds were tweeting. Waking up in your new house, alone and peaceful, was about as dreamy a feeling as anything. Although a dreamy and bleary thought made you think waking next to a new, young lover wouldn't be so bad. Someone to knock out the cobwebs, give the place a new coat of paint and return your groove to the vigor it used to be.
That morning as you're lounging in your new kitchen, enjoying the best cup of coffee in your life, you see him. Now, the milk delivery that came every day was a promotion by the local supermarket, it was cute quaint and you could request a daily delivery of anything, milk, eggs, apple juice, you name it. Your new neighbor bragged endlessly about how great it was to not have to worry about getting milk every day.
But that's not what's alluring you to the offer. You've heard people talk about Alid, the milkman. They had nothing but the sweetest things to say about him, so you had just assumed he was some old guy. But low and behold, the answer to your cobweb sweeping prayers. No one told you he was an orc, let alone he was built out of bricks and made to last. He's tall and broad, his uniform looks fit to burst.
You see him at your neighbor's door and you bolt. You rush outside, forgetting you're in just your nightgown. "Yoo-hoo, milk boy," you wave him down.
He looks at you and you melt. Eyes like amber glass and surrounded by the thickest lashes, a gaze that should be illegal. "Oh, good morning. It's nice to know someone has moved into that place. Can I help you?"
You walk towards the hedge that separates the lawns. You feel a surge of energy just looking at him. "I was wondering, how do I go about signing up for your services." You hope the way you said that doesn't come off lewd. The man is good looking but you don't want him to feel uncomfortable. You wanted to woo this one properly.
"Oh!" He smiles and you melt again. "You can go to our website or sign up at the store. Is there anything you need this morning?" He asks.
Lots, you think to yourself. Mainly what's in your pants. Instead, you just smile up at him as sweet as you can. "I think I'll survive for the day. Thank you so much though." You reach out, touching his arm. How dare he be that warm and solid?
"No problem, it was so nice meeting you." He then motions to your house. "I have a fondness for this place. My great-grandfather built it."
"You're kidding," you gasp.
He shook his head. "He built this house, then this one, that one, and that one. He started this little neighborhood with his own two hands. But this house," he smiles up at your home. "When it went on the market I kind of prayed it wouldn't sell until I saved up the money."
"I'm sorry," you reply.
He laughs. "Hey, you obviously were meant to have it. It suits you."
Your cheeks burn and you have to bite back your smile. "I'm going to sign up for the service, so I'll see you soon."
